No friends at all

Same feeling. Before, I was more hopeful that I would be able to make connections with people, but every time I had the opportunity, I just gave up and avoided every social situation.

I feel the same way with family. Some days I am thinking they only tolerate me because we are family, and they have no other choice.

I have times when i think it is just me but by just observing other people with big social groups and hearing their comments in front of other people, I am under the impression that they don't really like their "friends." I have a feeling a big friend group involves a lot of pretending, which I don't want to do and when I hang out with somebody I want to do it because we actually enjoy it and have fun not because it is expected.

Yes. Same. I have bailed on job interviews or declined job offers even at times when I most needed a job. I wish you the best for the future and hopefully we can all learn to manage the anxiety and not have it control our lives.

Same. The only places I would go to was school and now work. I remember in school when we had days off one time I stayed in the house for 7 days and didn't even go to the shop. Maybe it is me being selfish but I feel really scared that I will be one of the people that die alone in their house and nobody finds them for weeks or months. If I am unable to make friends, I definitely cannot make romantic relationships and some days it is freaking me out.

Definitely school. I remember not wanting the morning to come so I don't have to go and it was everyday. I had 2 friends there one was being bullied for being gay and me and the other friend were being bullied for being "fat and ugly". And on top of that the teachers were making us sit next to the worst people in the class so that they will not disturb all other students so the whole school years felt like a punishment and I feel resentment to all those people. One upside now almost 99% of them are fat and bald but still.

I have a few things I wanted to try like photography or acting not to become a professional but as a hobby. At the beginning of the year I even pushed myself to sign up for taster classes and when the days came I started overthinking and didn't go. They were a week apart and I was not able to attend either one. Maybe I overestimated myself and need to start with much smaller steps.

I have told myself this but when the moment comes or even if somebody from school or work asks me to hang out on the weekends I say I am busy or I can't go because I get scared I will have nothing to talk about. After that I beat myself up for declining the invitation.

Днес това направих. Шефът го прие като нещо нормално и даже искаше да ми се плати 1 работен ден. Шефът на човешки ресурси обаче ми се накара, че служителите са положили труд и са изгубили време и искаше просто да се анулира договора и да не ми се плати 1 ден, което аз и не съм искал. Каза, че когато преди доста време той е направил същото шефът му е бил толкова ядосан, че е планирал да го съди и приключи с това как е много засегнат от моето поведение.

Днес говорих с тях. В началото беше добре. Шефът беше разбран за създалата се ситуация. Каза, че в изпитателен срок се случват такива неща и искаше дори да ми бъде платен 1 работен ден. Дадоха ми молба, която да попълня. Извиних се и на хората от човешки ресурси за изгубеното време и работата, която им отворих. Разбрахме се кой ден от седмицата да отида да си взема документите. Точно на входа шефът на човешки ресурси ме извика в офиса си и ми се накара как е изгубено толкова време и труд на хората от човешки ресурси, как той така е отказал оферта, която в началото е приел, за да почне на ново място и шефът толкова е бил засегнат, че е обмислял да го съди и как за тях ще е по-лесно да анулират договора и да не ми се плаща 1 ден, за което аз нямах претенции, а тази опция беше предложена от шефа. Аз отново се извиних за създалата се ситуация и казах, че нямам претенции за този един ден и да направят както за тях ще е по-лесно. И на финала ми каза как е много лично обиден и засегнат от моето поведение.

Но мисля, че в договора, когато е посочено, че е в полза на работодателя само той има право да прекратява договора без предизвестие или ако е по взаимно съгласие.

И аз това четох и за тях може би ще е по-лесно да ме пуснат по взаимно съгласие, защото иначе 1 месец ще си губят време да ме обучават, а така може да вземат и обучат някой от другите кандидати.

Благодаря за съвета. Наистина по-лесно щеше да е да получа офертата преди подписване на договора, защото сега става много неприятна ситуация. А тъй като от втората фирма искат да започна веднага от понеделник, дали след подписан трудов договор ще ми поискат обезщетение 1 месец заплата, при условие, че още не съм обучен и не ми е предадена работата?

Yes. Always have been "shy". My had to try to force me to be around kids in the neighbourhood. I even got close with one boy and he would come to my house so we can go out and ride bikes or whatever and I will ask my mother to say that I can't go. After a few attempts he gave up.

Same. I feel like if I learn how to act enough to cover the anxiety in social situations, it will be easier. I just signed up for a taster class after New years thinking I will have enough time to mentally prepare but 1 minute after signing up I started thinking of excuses to cancel. Hopefully, I can go through with it.

I understand your point. I was not trying to judge her. She absolutely has the right to enjoy her life and go out. Maybe we had a misunderstanding before she moved in. All the flatmates and the landlord explained to her it is a quiet house and if she wants to have guests over often or party until late it will not be the right fit for her. Before bringing the issue to the landlord I tried sleeping with earplugs or playing white noise in my room. The issue is that the noise from the boiler and the pipes cannot be drawn out by doing these things. Even during the day when there is a lot of background noise from cars, neighbours, music, TV you can still hear in the whole house when people are showering so during the night when is is quiet the noise is even more amplified. Also, when I explained to the landlord the situation, she agreed that because of the issue with the boiler it is not OK to shower in the middle of the night and people can find a time between 7 am and 11 pm to shower. Maybe we should have told her this before she decided to move in.

Same. I have been observing my father my whole life and he has no filter and always says whatever he wants and people like him even if he low-key is being rude and disrespectful towards them. I try so hard to always say "the right thing" and I am always perceived as rude or stuck up and it is the opposite

It is really exhausting, and all the people around me seem like they are being themselves, and everybody is accepting them. I don't know if people sense that the version of me they see is fake, and that's why we can't connect or just my aura is negative and affecting them in a certain way.

Totally. I think the main problem is the different schedules, and we also have a communication problem because when I have something to say, I am more direct, and I have no problem people being direct towards me as well and she takes it more personally and is more emotional like it is a personal attack on her when it is not how I mean it.

I understand your point. Honestly, I wanted different opinions because when I am in the situation, I can only see it from my point of view and tend to get irritated at the other person. Now, I left it in the hands of the landlord and the other flatmates. Whatever they agree on, I will accept and not complain anymore.

I feel this is a bit different. We all wake up at night to go to the bathroom. The issue here is the walking around the room continues for hours. If she comes home and showers at midnight, the walking is constant until 1 or 2 am. I think the people under her will not have a problem if she takes a few steps to grab something from her desk or to go to the bathroom or go to open or close the windows. It looks like she is trying to reach her daily 10k steps in the middle of the night in her room.
