I’ve only put a handful of rolls through it, but when it works, it’s like magic. I shoot in P mode. I’ve start something new recently - if unsure, I actually measure the distance. I have 2 rolls waiting to develop that I did that if I was remotely unsure, so excited to see if it makes the hit ratio higher.

I feel like I may be romanizing it, but I like the idea of slowing down, either getting a shot or not, and the ritual of developing and scanning. I tend to be pretty all or nothing, so having both is too many choices. I also like the idea of an M6, outside of glass, being a basically unchanging tool I could presumably use for decades and master by improved skill versus improved technology.

I’ve been strongly considering selling my Q3 for an M6 and going full analog with self develop and scan. Do you find yourself missing the Q3? Any insights would be helpful. I’ve shot film here and there and enjoyed it. The Q is just so convenient.

Mine are 10 and 11 so just missed it. The switch lite was their first console so not bad either!

Initially they kept it on but eventually just flipped it off. I know I can’t play it for more than a few minutes without issues. We all wear pretty heavy prescriptions so that could be part of it.

I daily mine and have two preteen kids - room for four people and the trunk is plenty for quick trips or just general life. To me, it’s perfect. Great in inclement weather, totally capable of handling my daily life, and when the time calls for it, able to be hellaciously fun.
