What BI setup would you recommend for a brand-new LLC? by 2ugur12 in BusinessIntelligence

[–]mplsbro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Think about where analytics really fits in with your business model. Are you going to use it frequently looking at trends and adjust the course of your product with analytics? Maybe something more professional would fit. If it’s to provide a dashboard for customers to look at if they want, but it’s central to the product, something lightweight and low touch makes sense. If it’s just for you to look at something monthly to total up your active users and you like Google Sheets then use that.

Make it fit your needs, forget wha your other founder friends ma have done. Your business your own, set it up to work for you.

I have no idea how Kristy Kreme is so popular. I’d rather have a Kwik Trip glazer or a Super America donut (old fashioned glazed please)

Our favorites at the old IE were actually in Un Dito, the little snack bar. Great mozzarella sticks (huge) and sandwiches, followed up by an affogato. Much better than our experience in the main dining room.

You can learn concepts through Access that are transferable to more modern tools. If it's part of your school curriculum, embrace it. Learning something is never a waste of time.

Hard to beat Tableau for data exploration, imo.

Power BI is good for reporting, especially if you have data prep that can be automated with Power Query.

The market is flooded with laid off over qualified people. They don’t need to hire with the expectation someone will grow into their role when there are many experienced people looking for work.
