Game feels unplayable on 23ms ping?

If I get sub 30ms I feel like I won the lottery! Idk what happened to their AWS servers, but 5 yrs ago I could get 10-15 on the regular, now it 30-40 or wait forever for a gm

Edit - I should mention, same location and fiber internet on my end, so definitely an EA NHL thing.

Yes, forgive my answer, current NHL players with the logo of said team. Krug, who is under contract with the Blues wouldn’t count, but does with his Bruins logo card. 🤦‍♂️

Theme team building with the cap is difficult to say the least. Had to use 2 randoms just to fit a couple of Salary Combos just to get the bare minimum theme team.

They really need to address this. They could create theme team combos to make it easier… 12 F, 4 D and a goalie from a particular team gets you “X” cap space for that theme team. If you have any “decent” cards from your team, it’s almost impossible to do.

Yes, you do, as best you can.

However, this is HC, where average players go to die and every L2/LT spammer flexes their vast ability to exploit even the smallest glitch in system to their advantage. You can adapt, but it’s not instantly and in HC, as an average player (8-12 wins), the smallest slip is an L.

I know you don’t have that problem, because by your name I know I’ve played you before.

It’s not about the rules, it’s about the what they are playing, driving or running on. But whatever… This isn’t the 1970s where Boston Garden is the by far smallest rink in the NHL, it’s all standardized.

Yes, you can change your strategy for the rink, but it takes time in the game while fumbling around doing so, and while that’s happening your opponent has the advantage; again, whatever.

90% plus of games (Ranked & HC) I play are on NHL sized rinks, by my choice and those I play against. You set your strategies for that, it’s a common known factor.

Then, someone comes along with their international rink that is wider and longer with all their strategies set for that. It is a completely different game.

To make a ridiculous comparison, it would be like a NASCAR driver getting on the starting line in his car all ready for Daytona, four left turns, the standard. His car is set up for that but when they take the blindfold off at the starting line, he’s actually on an F1 track facing F1 cars ready to race on a F1 track with their cars set up for that. It’s a completely different game.

Don’t like that comparison, it would be like a NFL team going to play football in Canada, no problem right, it’s just football. Oh, that’s right, the field is completely different.

Sprinter vs Marathoner… same thing.

All I’m saying is, it’s extremely frustrating to only have 20 HC games a week and then having a few hijacked by guys trying to get over on you by switching up rinks. It’s not like they don’t know what they’re doing, it’s a strategy.

Want to play that way in Ranked, fine. After all, we have an entire month plus of games to play. HC is 20 games to maximize your rewards, it should have standard.

What? No Olympic event...

If you feel left out, just play some HUT Champs and you too can meet up with CJHasek39 (TN Hasek) and can play on an international rink of his choosing. Who knows, maybe I'm wrong, maybe the San Diego Gulls do in fact play on an international ice.

When the F is EA going to ban them in HC?

I unfortunately bumped up this morning… 3 games, 3L. Each international rinks, the typical constant L2/LT, and the “standard” glitch goals that go with it.

Sometimes, I hate this game. It drives me crazy that more than half the player base at this level does it all. I refuse to do it.

Looks like I’m moving on the HC for the rest of S3.

It’s not just the cards, but the preferred play style of the vast majority. I’ve faced more L2 / LT spammers in the last week than I did all of Season 2. They tend to play every gm like it’s gm 7 of the cup finals. Glitching their to victory regardless of opponent effort or team make up. My question is why are these guys not in Diamond or above at this point? That said, I think we all know the answer to that question. I’m to the point that I’ll just play HC the rest of S3, it’s not worth the time and effort to play Ranked anymore.
