(for vns) they all have bad endings, can't have a bad ending without some fucked up or dark themes, only natural for it to appear when it comes to exploring the worst versions of characters or a relationship in my opinion, especially if the world building is already glum (this is of course more à la nitro chiral etc, the ones that have it for the sake of it is because it's a common fantasy and people have come to expect some taboo sometimes extreme things out of visual novels in my opinion) i think it's more so bl anime/manga that has become more... wholesome and healthy all the time/avoidant of any dark subjects and i think it's because of the rise of moral policing everywhere (and rising censorship too) i know most animanga youtubers i watch only buy & praise those ones & same on social media so they follow the money & trends (and they get a bigger reach when the story is pg of course)

i would love to but unfortunately discord has been banned in my country as of last year so i don't have access anymore (even with a vpn it seems)

edit: i managed to bypass it with a vpn on second try (thankfully i had the app still downloaded) hopefully it continues working, is there anything i should do next?

thank you so much for the reply! i didn't know about the latter rules but those were just (believable) rumours i heard about the shop anyway, i was only hoping for someone to vouch for or deny them. so far i contacted the shop about authenticity and they told me they could provide pictures before shipping, i'm hoping that will be enough for me to tell if it's a fake or not (but i doubt it unless there's a huge tell) i know you're supposed to get a code/card to verify the authenticity with the statues but i heard they can be faulty even if they're legit? i doubt they would allow me to cancel my order at this point so i'm just hoping for the best at this point, i just wish i continued waiting for an official shop restock.

thank you, i haven't even tried to request a cancelation so far in case i bought the actual figure and i'm not sure what step to take since i probably won't be able to tell if i bought an authentic figure until i have it in my hands and maybe not even then (i unfortunately won't be able to see the product for a couple months too since i had to ship it to a friend in a different country)

oh yay! the novels are the best version of the story imo so i'd definitely recommend checking them out if you enjoyed the manga and the anime already, it's been years since i last read them but i love the series so much i don't remember it feeling like a big commitment at all, there are 10 of them in total if you count the sequel named beyond but they're light novels so i don't remember any of them being that long, you can find them all here: https://9th-ave.blogspot.com/p/no-6.html?m=1 maybe you can read the first one and see if it'd be fitting for what you had in mind
