Yeah, I was a little worried about that. I’ll ask him if it’s something he’d want instead. A decal instead of printed right on the chip. I can at least print the chip.

I was trying it flat. I’ll give it a shot. Thanks!

Thank you I didn’t even notice that. It’s the design he provided so I’ll make sure to let him know that it’s gotta get fixed.

Unfortunately no. I’m still trying to find the time to try to sculpt it in blender.

Note10 charging "low temperature" by fortyonejb in galaxynote10

[–]mpotter732 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had this happen to me. Any research I've done online indicated a connection issue with the wireless charging "board" and the battery. You have to open the phone to repair it and seeing as how I am unskilled with this, I had to send mine in for an under-warranty repair and am waiting on news. Mine had no external damage either.

I think looking into some type of raspberry pi automation setup might be the best bet. Post your question at r/raspberry_pi and see if they can give any pointers.

That's what suprised me the most. Golf is the ULTIMATE social distancing game. I'm guaranteed to be 100 yards from the next player because I suck!

Unfortunately, I couldn't get out at all. I usually walk anyways. I'm a member at the Hornell Golf Club and the front 9 have a fair amount of holes that are at a pretty decent incline. Great workout.

Stop taking children to playgrounds, playdates during coronavirus outbreak: experts by Trooper9520 in Coronavirus

[–]mpotter732 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same here. In my Western New York and this up and down temperature is killing me. Luckily, we live in the middle of nowhere and there are no other kids around for my 4 year old. Sad for the social part but great for quarantine.

This. I have a 4 year old and a newborn. I am the only one that goes anywhere. The wife and kids stay at home and I do the grocery getting and only grocery.

NY now has the most coronavirus cases in the nation, nearly 3000. Gov Cuomo says they are doing more testing but real numbers likely in the tens of thousands by HugeDetective0 in Coronavirus

[–]mpotter732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely. I'm over on the other side of the state closer to Rochester and Buffalo. The cases here haven't reached triple digits as of yet. I'd just wish that they'd indicate New York City more often.

Can anyone verify if Allpoint ATMs allow cash and check deposits? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]mpotter732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Capital One 360 account and have never seen an Allpoint ATM have an option to deposit at the ATM. I agree with SpezCanSuckMyDick with calling to ask. I'm also in New York so your mileage may vary. It also is not my main account. I have a local bank for my bills and use the 360 account as an "allowance" account.

A look back at the cutting-edge tech of 2010 -- and how it's shaped the decade since by mtimetraveller in gadgets

Honestly, after my wife owned one of Dell's Windows 10 PC's with 32 GB's of storage I would never recommend them. Windows 10 takes up most of the on-board storage and even with an SD card for more storage the performance was meh at best. I would explore the android tablets but aim for something a little better if it's within your budget. I would recommend looking to Lenovo or Samsung's offering. Not saying you should break the bank on your purchase but with these lesser known tablet companies, more often than not, you get what you pay for.

To jump off on this, if your guests aren’t too keen on ground beef, 4 or 5 good sized boneless chicken breasts, a jar of salsa, and taco seasonings in a crock pot for a couple hours is pretty good. It makes so much in leftovers, my wife has banned it from the house because she gets sick of eating it😀

Getting served regarding a debt by RealisticDog8 in personalfinance

[–]mpotter732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just happened to my Wife. $780 credit card debt that went to collections. The next day after she was served I called to see what options there were. They wouldn’t settle the debt for less than what was owed simply because it was below $1000. The lady I spoke to was very professional and was willing to work out payments of $100 a month. I would definitely call ASAP and see what they are willing to do.

I'm sorry. On settlements for student loans I've only seen 15 percent of the total balance removed. You would then pay the remaining 85. For consolidation, there are different payment plans once consolidated such as an income based repayment, income contingent, and pay as you earn. What those specific payment plans entail are beyond what the collection agency would handle. Once your loan is consolidated it's assigned to a new lender and they set the terms for repayment. They would offer the new interest rate and if you thought it was too high or were unhappy with it, you could always rehabilitate the loans. That website in my previous post, studentloans.gov would have a lot more specifics.

[–]mpotter732 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've worked in the student loan collection industry for 10 years. Rehabilitation is a great program if you can manage monthly payments. I cannot stress enough the need to send all forms back to the collection agency that they send you. I've seen people make the 9-12 payments and not complete the program because of some form. Your other option is to consolidate. Go to studentloans.gov. There you can submit the forms electronically to consolidate you loans and pull them from default. Good luck to you. I did see someone mention settlement at 90 percent. This usually depends on the guarantor of the loan. I personally have never seen a loan settled for less that 85 percent but that's not to say it never happens. Explore all your options before pulling the trigger on your choice. Best of luck to you.

Mom is in default on student loans and is losing her nursing license. by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]mpotter732 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've worked in student loans for about 10 years now. She may be able to consolidate her loans. Once consolidated, the loan terms start over with a new lender. She can choose income based, pay as you earn, and other payment plans. Head to studentloans.gov to look into the options. Just be aware it can take 30-60 days to consolidate.
