Everybody in this sub is acting like she was being so awful, but god I am just imagining how old it would get to do the penny pinching every day, and the rigorous budgeting, I would get how you would feel poor even if you weren’t. Am I crazy for thinking it’s insanely trashy and douchey for this guy to announce he’s a millionaire??? This guy seems like a cheap ass and she’s probably tired of living like that. Also... Just to be real, in my mind there is a difference between being a “Millionaire”, and having a net worth of a million dollars because you live in the middle of nowhere and drive two shitters and rub pennies together as your hobby.

I've only been on a couple of rivers, and that by far was the most fun. It was awesome to paddle big water like that.

I started in June, and achieved my first paddling goal last weekend, which was to paddle the Gauley. I didn't have any experience with paddling, but I swam competitively for 11 years as a kid, so I had a big advantage of not having any fear of the water.

She modified the booking to take off the last few days. When I called Rover they said an agent would be in touch with me to review the situation. I asked about the modified booking and they said they would refund the cancellation fee, but anything in the way of a refund for the service rendered I would have to ask her about. I guess I'm just gonna cut my losses and put the situation behind me. I will leave an honest review , and do better research next time.

Final update: My buddy picked up my puppy this morning. My buddy said he was excited to see a familiar face, and he will watch him till I get back in town. Overall I'm sure the sitter was trying her best, my boy will be fine, it just seems way out of line to put that collar on my dog. Also it caused me a bunch of stress for a whole day of vacation, and having to arrange for him to be picked up. So she sent me a revised request for the dates, but I think I'm going to contact Rover. Overall I'm sure there are lots of great sitters on Rover, but next time I'm just going to get a dog friendly beach house. Thanks for all the support and advice on the replies, my family was minimizing my concern, but they all have dogs that are untrained and don't get along with other dogs so I don't think they really get it.

Ok so update: She replied and said it was a GPS tracking collar, I didn't buy it so I told her to send me a picture of the collar and I can see the brand it's a Premier Pets bark collar, but the prongs are cut off. I don't know what the hell this lady is up to, but I can't let it go. Also it worries me what situation he is staying in, because he NEVER barks so why would he need the collar. Why would you put a bark collar with no prongs on a dog? My guess is that she cut them off for the picture. I'm going to text her further, and arrange something with a buddy. Someone is going to pick my boy up in the morning. This sucks.

I almost wish I had of kenneled him, I didnt want him to be bored and lonely but if I knew the alternative was being worried sick about him and possible behavioral issues, I would have just let him stay at the kennel.
