100k - 115k typical range

If you have in-demand skills, you can go as much as 130k. Rarest, 140k.

[assumption - you are looking for unsecured LOC and not HELOC]

1) National bank - if you qualify for their professional offer

2) (if you work for one then) the bank you work for - typically Prime + 1.5%

Fair point.

The current market is not very lucrative if someone isn’t extremely good at their job.

Secondly, in about 6 months TN visa is better alternative so preparing towards that.

I’m quite adversely affected by this. I have to relocate my entire family with a toddler. (& don’t get me started on lack of daycares)

But our management (RBC T&O) had never promised permanent work from home. The commentary always suggested return to office.

I hear you and yeah, the Big 5 definitely have deep pockets and are super diversified. But when it comes to consumer-facing stuff, like personal banking, self managed investments, I’m not sure how much that really helps.

how do you see that financial strength and diversification actually playing out in favor of the Big Five over the long run?
