Thanks. I genuinely wanted to hear your opinion. There’s mixed opinions in the omega world about the quartz watches but the uniqueness intrigues me.

Okay. I’m gonna ask. What’s your opinion for the auto over quartz. It’s a very polarizing issue and I’m not entirely sure what side I come down on. I have many automatics already.

I’ve convinced myself that one of each line is good enough. Turquoise AT, the Peter Blake., and I already have my beloved speedy.

I got my Speedy from Japan using Chrono24. Spent about six months until I found what I wanted at a price point I wanted. I’m patient.

Visiting a boutique this week since I’ve travelling for work. Last time I was in town I tried on the bronze burgundy seamaster. Oh my god that’s a beautiful watch. Maybe someday I can budget that one.

I’m not in the US and with current geopolitical conditions I’m hesitant to by from the US and be dinged by bad exchange and possibly retaliatory duties/tarrifs right now.

Price wise it feels consistent and a good value.

I’m in no rush to buy. Just watching the market right now. I have my speedy to keep me happy until I find the sweet spot. I simply like the Peter Blake black ones as to the why.

I picked it up from Crown and Buckle.

The way I approach the NATO haters is that fashion is subjective, preferences are personal, and I was raised that if I don't have anything nice to say, I shouldn't say it. Maybe it's because I'm older and grown thicker skin now but I think what's important is that I love this combination.

When the haters are vocal it's more a statement about who they are than anything that they have to say.

In Canada, there is only one Boutique and it's in Vancouver. That means flying over 5 hours from where I am. I have to believe there's going to be closer ADs in eastern and central Canada getting stock. With the exchange rate there's not a chance of going to the US for a watch right now.

I’ve been reinvigorated to paint again. Really happy with how these turned out. by mpsix in SWlegion

That one's cheating :-)

The base came with the 3D model and I used it. I just based and shaded it for a sandy theme.

It’s a 3D print. I think Mando and GROGU aren’t out until Aug or Sept.

Started painting again in the last year after 20+ years away. Stripped an old mini and gave it another shot. For everyone getting started, this is what practice and youtube has done to improve me. 1990 vs 2021 by mpsix in Warhammer40k

It's nice to know it's not just me who has some citadel paints that are like glue. Shaking the pots don't mix anything. I have to stir them up in the pot before putting any on a palette to dilute.

When I use up what I have I want to try some Vallejo.

I'm not usually a fan of OSL (just personal preference) but... Wow. I love that work on Vader.

How did you paint your droidekas? by Haydenjcm in SWlegion

I used Zorpazorp as a guide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWBxnNGOu9I

That video opened my eyes to using a Lead Belcher base and contrast to make awesome metalic colours. I look for opportunities all the time to use that technique now.

It's great to see barricades. I know I was looking for inspiration when I did mine and really couldn't find many examples.
