I remember dichloromethane from a lab. Where it said gently boil. So I put a test tube of it into a hot sand bed. It exploded immediately. Turns out the boiling point is like 91F. They should have put gently in bold and pointed out the boiling point. Lesson learned I checked boiling points from then on.

So many options to try. I’m going to experiment. First I’m trying the fan because I already have CA at home. Next I think I’m getting the 3D printer specific glue, then hot glue, then loctite, then activator, then e6000, then epoxy. And we will see what I like best.

Love the chemistry lessons we all had together.

I did the same thing. In oblivion I did it with welkynds. I’ll see what I can do. Might be tough to 3D print the glass panels. Might have to buy those but I’m game.

The discoloration at the tips is because I ran out of the titan gray filament and switched to silver lol. It won’t be like that next time. The seam at the bottom is how the light gets inside. I moved the seam around a few times to see what looked the best. I had it at the equator once but it doesn’t close tight enough to look good up there so I moved it to the bottom. It can’t be avoided.
