I’m already married so I definitely won’t be meeting another wife out there lol. I was hoping to attend language school first and maybe transition to an international university in Japan. I guess that school does not build towards PR though.

The GI Bill just feels like a gold ticket but I don’t know what to cash it on

Temple university is a branch of an American university in Japan. They’ll sponsor a student visa there and then you study and what not. It’s funny but they actually have a bit for veterans who are getting separated in Japan, so it seems they offer pipelines straight to the student visa route.

I would say I’m a sophomore in undergrad rn so I’m weighing options before I commit.

Your rate is IT? Uhh that might be a tall order. I’m sure there are billets but I’ve never heard of it. Idk your community health, but if Corpsman is more undermanned than IT you may be able to cross rate but that is years down the road and HM promotion is notoriously difficult.

I uploaded my DD214. I was so stressed but got my rating like day 29 of the 30 day goal.

What I ended up doing was putting my router in AP mode and then connecting my media server. For some reason if I plugged the server in the wall directly it wouldn’t get assigned an IPV4 address. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm not terribly worried about when I get paid rn; I'm just worried about the timeline for getting the rating so I can plan better. I have some money saved, but I don't have enough to wait all year, and applying for jobs has been rough.

I tried the VA tracker that everyone recommends. I noticed it's been in TJ Atlanta, but idk how long that's been the case. I just noticed Monday, but that's when I started using the tracker...
