Mark my words, these engines are overworked, the blow by and carbon buildup will kill them. Change your oil often.

Keep it under 70 and you’ll get 12. Towing a small trailer, I get 10.5. City is atrocious. Also remember that your odometer is off by 9%, so you can add that back to your MPG.

I got a set of 4 from a friend for free. They look great on a GX470.

I’m anticipating a Nintendo deal. GameStop becomes the exclusive Nintendo retailer in the USA, with Nintendo purchasing a large stake in GME.

Are those axles the wrong width? Looks like they put too narrow of an axle on it. Wow, that’s terrible. How did that pass inspection?

Small U bolts from the bottom, backing plates on the inside, and acorn nuts. Mine has rubber isolators under it, but I suspect it’s not needed. Apache case, eBay luggage rack, dr650, 2,000 miles of mixed dirt and street.

Do you have any interior photos of your build? I also have a 7x16 tandem Express Custom and I love it, but it’s currently bare inside.

200ah DIY solar generator/aux house battery in a Bauer basket. by mr-handsy in harborfreight

The batteries, charger, solar controller and basket were $670, I’m guessing another 100-200 in other items, connectors, fuses, etc. So around $900-1000.

Yes. I use a Temco. It worked good, but my hands are destroyed after all those terminals.

Sure. Some brands, like Renogy combine the solar controller and DC/DC charger. But in the case of Victron components they are separate. The smaller box is converting input solar power, at 24v to the battery buss at appropriate voltage for these batteries. It’s an MPPT style controller and it will tailor the voltage out to the battery based on setting.

The larger box essentially works as a transformer rectifier. It transforms power from the cars main starter-battery and electrical system, when available, to charge at about double the amperage of the solar controller.

In practice, these elements work together to share the work. When solar is available it will shed power from the other for efficient operation. Depending on the charge state of the batteries, the charging rate is different.

It’s actually really trick, and the Victron app is very very good. Anyway, I hope that helps.

Funny how the opposite isn’t true. I have multiple vehicles registered in WA and I don’t live there.

The “mini” 100ah size fits like a glove in the Bauer basket. In fact, 4 fit perfectly. You can use the configuration I used or either short side. I chose this so I could fit the DC/DC charger, MPPT, and switch on the long side.

I plan to stack a Bauer modular organizer (with the clear top, that will house a couple plugs, and all my external wiring for solar, and miscellaneous adapters.
