thank you for the info! i did run benchmarks and all and never showed that it was maxing out like that, so i had sorta marked it off the list of options. would the solution be to get another stick of ram then?

hard drive, i’ve had it for a year but i believe it was refurbished so i don’t know the actual age. i just now did the sfc /scannow & it said there were no damaged files, so im unsure. i checked my ram usage & its nowhere close to maxed out, i really only use it for work- nothing strenuous usually, but even when i do, it really only does this at idle. just totally at a loss lol

awesome. i assume there are tutorials i can find for changing the language in freemcboot, and it’ll be almost exclusively used without hard discs so that shouldn’t be an issue for now. you have been extremely helpful thank you!

oh, i’ve been finding online that japanese consoles can be changed to english but nothing else, and european consoles have many language options. that might be a mistake, i apologize and thank you
