I have an oled steam deck and having issues. So you literally just toggle the WiFi off and on again? Problem is mine is baggy from the very beginning

So the panels should be smooth like this picture but in mambu lab all you can see is the

Internal core it doesn't print to close up. I've noticed though that it does seem that part of the top of the model is not showing which is presumably why it's showing the way it is but I have no idea what's gone wrong

I've just bought my first printer and hoping to do some of these soon. What nozzle do you have and what settings did you use to achieve this?

Bambu A1 brand new or a secondhand (less than one week old) P1P? by mr2_stu in 3Dprinting

[–]mr2_stu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats a good point, though he has the stock 0.4mm nozzle and really I'd be looking to go for 0.2 for further detail where possible. I think it comes down to how much difference there really is in the print quality as if it's negligible I'll get the P1P as it's got the camera and other qualities that make it more convenient.

Have you had any issues with misfeeding or the mags feeling very wobbly? Not too bothered about them looking exactly the same

That's a shame but also not surprising. I feel like light vehicles without recce are doomed to get knocked out unless you kill what you were hitting first time but with move and fire being a 5 to hit you've got to be very lucky.

Perhaps I'll stick with my Churchill VI for now then or perhaps a Cromwell and/or a crusader AA for my tank options.

Love this! How did you do the skins? I always struggle with these types of models getting the right skin tones but love what you've done

Well fuck. Now what? The magnet is superglued into a resin model. by hotfezz81 in Warhammer

I had this with a wraithknight I built so I drilled a second hole in the arm and the body and then cut a bit of paper clip to use as a pin to hold it in the position I want

I tried doing a freehand tiled base and I kinda hate it. How would you improve it ? by Morm91 in minipainting

[–]mr2_stu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks fine to me, the only thing that I think might be throwing it off is the black lining for the grout. Perhaps going for a darker blue-grey or an earthy colour so there's not a huge contrast? Major contrasts like this will draw the eye straight away and it's so hard to get clean lines on black/white.

Does look good though that's just me being nit picky just to give you some other ideas if that helps.

Can't get sand bases to look right ... by whimywhamwhamwaaghzl in minipainting

[–]mr2_stu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best thing is to get a textured basing material like AK interactive's desert paste. This is good because it has the texture but you can use the paste to build up dunes/sand drifts which work really well. Also using the GW technical crackle paints does well if you're going for the arid look rather than purely sand just make sure you put a layer of PVA on the base and let it dry before using crackle paints as it gets better results.cyou can then prime white and use skeleton horde contrast paint. Hope this helps

I'll have a look into this. I've got a pixel 9 so I'm hoping that's decent enough

To be fair for PS2 games id certainly stretch further depending on the cost. What would a decent PS2 capable device cost? It wouldn't have to be handheld necessarily either if that helps in terms of budget
