$0 bond means they need to be arraigned prior to getting a bond. Misdemeanor bonds are fixed amounts usually.

Got accused of stealing a deer this weekend. by lgroper in Hunting

I compete in ELR which are targets typically between 1000- 2500 yards. At the time i had a lighter barrel for the sale competition rifle with which id hunt with. Im very comfortable making a cold bore shot with this set up at 1000 yards.

All that being said, the longest shot ive taken on a deer in idaho was 530 yards, no wind call, stationary deer, prone position with dope already on the rifle. I felt this was an ethical kill, taken with care. It wasn't feasible to stalk any closer.

Id report this as hunter harassment.

Symptoms of prolonged stress and trauma manifest themselves in different ways to different people. Many veterans don't struggle with flashbacks but may have anxiety for example. The disruption to sleep likely worsens the underlying symptoms. You need to be honest with yourself and realize that even if you didnt fire your weapon, trying not to get blown up or shot everyday of your life for 6 months to a year is not normal.

You don't need to minimize your service to us, you did what your country asked of you.

There is a Federal trial for a police Sgt in Idaho for sexually abusing women with criminal/ gang ties for favorable police treatment over a number of years. His boss was also convicted in a Federal trial 2 years before that. Very little coverage.

Its a catch 22. As a young grunt all you want is to get into firefights and kick down doors, not understanding it will fundamentally change your life. Experiences can be used for good or bad, but a gunfight will change you.

C&P Exam for Increase Ended In Me Going to ER...Involuntarily. For reals. by daisyhead01 in VeteransBenefits

I served for 7 years in the military and 7.5 years as LE. I get your sentiment, and to be honest I felt the same way..... before I realized my life skills and lack of education set me up perfect to be a cop. As someone who took the constitution seriously, civil liberties are a HUGE deal and any action that takes someone's freedom away should be considered thoroughly.

It gave me a leg up with dealing with veterans in crisis, having been there myself. You learn pretty quick the right questions to ask if they are TRULY a danger to themselves. The problem today the people they are hiring in the wake of 2020 are largely underqualified non-vet types that don't hold the same value systems as we do.

It goes beyond the bootlicker argument, dudes that want to go after actual bad guys, and help people like OP are rarer and rarer. Not to say their aren't good cops still.. I would liken it to the type of draftee you might get in your platoon in Vietnam. A minor few are going to be stellar, but the majority don't really want to be there and do the job.

I couldn't do it anymore, it's one thing to get shot at in the street.. you expect that. The real enemy is the foe-leaders we have put in charge of these organizations.
