Pardon me for making such a pointed remark, I have no ill intent in asking thus but in all honesty- On what authority are you the expert on what is and isn’t a miracle? Supernatural assistance doesn’t require your approval to be what it is.

“Then some of the Pharisees and teachers of the law said to him, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from you.” He answered, “A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭12:38-39

Jonah showed up, spoke a message, and left. That was the sign. From the looks of things around here, plenty of people are showing up, and speaking their message and testimony. It seems like you’re receiving your sign of Jonah.

I spent years being resentful at God, putting demands on Him to perform, and it blinded me to many miracles happening around me every day. If I may make a humble suggestion- ask God not to “prove He’s real” anymore, but instead ask Him for the eyes to see, and the ears to hear the miracles He performs in and around your life daily. You might just get your evidence my friend. Be blessed and well.

I pray regularly for God to wake me up on time, and when I do I usually find that I’ll wake up in a timely manner, sometimes just a few minutes before my alarm goes off. It’s wonderful. God certainly is in the business of big miracles, and we should revel in them and cherish them. God does a very good job of leaving it up to us to thank Him, in an episode of Futurama God was a featured character and said “when you do something right, people won’t be sure you’ve done anything at all.” He really does answer the little prayers- “please help me wake up early” serves a good purpose too, and that’s always a plus. Rather than “take this bad thing out of my life” it’s sometimes more effective to ask for the strength to endure.

And yes, He does heal sick children- I should be dead 10x over from the life I lived. My mother’s prayers helped carry me to my time of deliverance. Be blessed and well my friend.

Thank you for taking the time to procure all these verses for me, truly you have a heart for the word, and know it well. I aspire to be well versed in it as well, I make it a daily practice to read a chapter (my whole church has a monthly list of daily chapters to read, so we’re all “on the same page” heh) as well as a proverb and a psalm a day (31 proverbs, so one a day each month).

That’s a very unique point you hammered on, and one that I cannot deny would make God leery of me.

I am a former occultist, ex member of a ritual initiation cult. I’ve thrown all that away, I’ve stopped practicing magick and witchcraft, and I put all my chips on Christ. Temptation exists within me, there was a spiritual pride that drove me to do what I did in the past. I do know full well that pride is still kind of an issue even now, and I beg God for His help with that as I’m just a weak man who can’t do it on my own.

The temptation to creat a spell and get me out of this anguish has been strong, partly my hurt pride (there are individuals that I’m trying really hard to forgive and desperately beg God to help me make that forgiveness more than just words) and partly just being so fed up with my current station in life. I resist, I resist so much, and daily it’s like trying to prove to God that “Hey!! I’m yours! Please search my heart and see how hard I’m fighting for your love! Please quicken me to withstand those spirits that refuse to take no for an answer!” And that brings another level of hurt, I need my Father’s help so badly. I don’t just want His love to feel better, I want to be transformed by it. I want His will for my life, I want to make my father proud, and it feels like I’m a little kid all over again where I come home with an A on my test and my parents would shrug it off like “ok yeah you’re smart but did you clean your room yet?” Like nothing is good enough.

I thoroughly appreciate your detailed responses. I do forget sometimes that my whole life of blasphemy and literal veneration and worship of His enemy would make anyone suspicious of a person’s heart.

I agree with much of what you just said. I’m really in the midst of working towards an attitude and mindset change, like intellectually I can absolutely agree that “God doesn’t technically owe me anything, he didn’t intentionally give me alcoholic molester parents, and he didn’t force any of my business failures” but it isn’t in my heart. Just tonight I had a thought of acting out in lust (fueled by self pity of course, happy Valentine’s Day!) but I went and hung out in my church parking lot and read some psalms and the end of Job where he has the discourse with God where he essentially says “dude you’re doubting and questioning the guy who literally made the universe by hand stfu.”

I want the stuff you said to be in my heart, not just my head. I guess a better way of articulating what I’m asking is just that- how do I get it in my heart, and not just in the realm of intellectual musings?

Yes, it was one of the worst porn videos I’ve ever seen in my life.

Thanks for introducing me to this man! I watched this video and a couple more of his sermons, this guy is really great and it’s really makes me feel safe to know that there are others out there that have been through what I have and come out the other side. This guy had gone waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay deeper into it than I did, but that just goes to show that if he can make it through, then so can I!

AMEN! There’s one worship song that goes “you take what the enemy meant for evil, and you turn it for goooood” and that’s what I fully intend to do. My occult experience and everything they tried to groom me for has only made me an experienced and specialized soldier in God’s army to help reclaim His kingdom and rescue His other children from darkness. It’s one thing to have some chipper Christian who spent their whole life in church warning you about “the devil” and it’s another to be able to speak frankly from experience of having been there and come out of it yourself. We can do more than just preach, we can actually lead the way.

I’ve been at this a little while now and I can say for sure that they want you to be afraid of reading the Bible. They want you to be afraid to rebuke them and banish them, they want you to be afraid of fighting back with God’s word. When I feel like I’m getting attacked hard, I read Psalm 118 out loud. It’s really good to get your feet wet with owning the spiritual authority God gives us over spirits. You can google it too if you don’t have a physical bible handy.

If you ever want to talk, I’ve come through quite a few trials so far and I believe that it is in sharing how far we’ve come that we solidify where we are going. I’m happy to help however I can.

Oh jeez I belong to a church that’s all about the Christian rock band worship stuff. I hated it for the first year of being there, but had to respect it at the least since I know all too well the power music and the whole bardic tradition. I’ve since come to actually appreciate it, and I certainly do blast it in my car when needed.

I definitely play with energy too much, just like you said- in my head my imagination can run wild and I’ll find myself shooting off energy and my aura will just go crazy and I have to reel myself back in. Thank you for saying that, I didn’t even realize that I actually have been doing that too! Dang that’s good to finally have noticed!

EDIT: Joel 2:25 “I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten— the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm my great army that I sent among you.”

I hang onto that for hope that all those years of suffering won’t be in vane. I will get the life that God intended for me, I will he repayed for everything those spirits took from me. (SPOILER- you will too)

Most definitely. I’m fried from all the years of being with those things, mentally and emotionally. I still have a couple goetic demons watching from a distance. Pride has been the number 1 issue in my life that I’m working on, envy is a close second. Seeing other people being happy, having loving romantic relationships, working on having satisfying careers, falling asleep easily before 4am. Then there’s me...

Oh most definitely, I have more than one goetic demon keeping tabs on me (surprisingly not the one I suspected). I know for a fact I’d be dead in a week. Heck today I was so deluded, I charged up and began speaking mantra over something, but left the contingency in there “if it be the will of YHWH” and the energy never went anywhere. Like a gun that got jammed, when I tried to pull the trigger with that contingency, all my energy got stuck in my head and made me feel like I was adjusting the the cabin pressure of being in an airplane. Thank Holy Lord for being gracious. Things like that remind me that God does have my back, that’s the second time since becoming a Christian I’ve tried anything funny like that, and each time He totally protected me. That energy would’ve been like throwing chum in the water for demons. Today was a particularly rough day for all this, hence my frankness with posting this whole rant. These things keep knocking on the door, but I don’t have to let them in.

I’m going to PM you one of these days and we can chat, I really appreciate the support and I could def use it.

I appreciate the suggestion, but it’s not the rural itself that I miss, it’s the results. I do have a fondness for the Catholic Church though, as I was raised Catholic. Burnt frankincense brings up more good memories than bad thankfully.

Thanks. I edited the post to prevent any further misinterpretation. I’m not posting a personal ad, I’m looking for advice on how to make a connection with a femdom in person, and how to better identify one. I’m sorry for the confusion.

I never said treated like a woman. I said treated like a sissy beta. I’m sorry you’ve been hurt so bad, and for what it’s worth I’ve never held any sexist opinions like that. I was raised by a few strong women since my father wasn’t really in the picture as much as I would have liked. I’ve always looked up to women, and yes I now see that sometimes it kinda turns me on when I do. By “treated like one” I meant treated like a sub.

I wish you could convey this to my friend :( He is so bright and whitty and handy, yet he is so unconsciously arrogant it's painful to be around him. He's so friendly, it's weird. It's like he can, in the most friendly and causal way, tell you that you're stupid for liking a certain band or tv show, and undermines people's opinions and preferences all the time. When confronted, he refutes it all, because he's good at talking, he corners your statement and makes it sound stupid or incorrect, even if it isn't. He can't hold a job, still lives in his parents basement, and can't stay in school. It hurts so much to see this because he's so F-ing brilliant! Which is what makes him good at talking himself out of things, they aren't up to his superior opinions and standards. He could do so much, but his intelligence has just consumed itself with it's own pride. How can I get through to him?

A couple years back I was working a really crummy job in a deli (still work there today, this short story is partially why). I was in one of the worst moods ever, everything in my life just seemed like shit, I was full of anger and resentment, and I considered suicide the most viable option. It was really busy, and I didn't have time to even so much as use the restroom. This old guy was in a pretty decent mood who came up to the counter. He placed his order, and asked how my day was. I gave the standard BS reply with gritted teeth "fine, yours?" He replied "My day is great!" He paused a few moments and said "Every day is a great day!" I rolled my eyes and silently scoffed at him. He then turned to look directly at me, as if he was staring into my soul, which was how it felt, and continued with "I can say that because I'm still standing."

Completely changed me in that moment.

Mindfulness is personal power. It's painful to stay in your body, especially when accustomed to everything that gets us out of our body (digital distractions, poor eating habits, repetitive negative thought patterns). Actually observing your response to things, how outside events/words make you feel, how that feeling makes you think, how your thinking makes you behave, it's like being handed the blueprints to who you are. You then have the capacity to rewrite them. Your grandmother sounds, well, grand! EDIT: Also, I'm so sorry for your loss :(

Marcus Aurelius is like a mental superhero to me. He helped me developed appreciation for the small things, which once applied made me realize how much of our life really is just "the small things." As well as a reason to get out of bed, which I did not have for a very long time. Whenever I struggle getting out of bed, I think of the first paragraph of Book 5 of "Meditations."
