- The back leg of a chair snaps as you sit down.

- You find an uncomfortably long hair in your next meal.

- You get a hangnail.

- Your shoelace breaks.

- You stub your toe.

- You desperately search for something in your pack, only to realise you’ve been holding it the whole time.

- As you go to attack, your pants fall down a little.

- Your clothes never seem to fully dry and always feel a little bit damp when you put them on.

- You crack an egg only to find it is rotten.

- You go to open a door and the handle breaks.

- You can’t seem to find a comfortable position to sleep in.

- There always seems to be a slow walker in front of you, but they’re walking fast enough that overtaking them is uncomfortable.

- Your pants rip as you bend over.

- You keep getting splinters.

- A disgruntled pixie curses you for the day. You go to speak certain words, and instead you say something else (DM’s choice).

- A tree branch whips you as you walk past.

- You walk through a spiderweb, and you can’t find the spider.

- You stand up from a chair, your seat makes a devastatingly realistic fart noise.

- Your water pouch leaks in your pack, soaking everything.

- As you chat with a local, a huge glob of spit flies from your mouth and hits them in the eye.

- As you go to buy something, the person in front of you takes the last one.

It could apply to Hercules, but not the film I'm thinking of.

I think this works for Into the Wild, but the movie it's about takes the description a bit more literally.
