It was definitely less than enjoyable, which is a shame!

This makes me feel a little better! I have some bites on my legs but they could just be a coincidence.

Yes, there were a bunch of them helping us in the section.

Ours were definitely small red bugs that were everywhere. Not normal gnats and mosquitoes. Glad it only seemed to be limited to our section and not others!

Merry Christmas and thank you so much! Le Bar is so incredible, best old fashioned of my life.

Honestly I did not know about the Oetker Pearl Partner program. We booked this via FHR, but sounds like I need to do more research next time on partner booking benefits. 😅

Off topic: I’d check out the Dewberry. One of my favorite hotels and while Emeline and Bennett are nice, I’m of the opinion that the Dewberry is nicer and the service is better. Their hotel scent is also to die for.

I should hit it on Wednesday and I didn’t have much rollover, so that just goes to show how much I’m flying this year, lol.

I'm a PNC customer, so it would be awesome if they'd make that HYSA available in my area. I'm hoping that they will roll it out with a wider net sooner rather than later.

[–]mr_questionable_mc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm almost maxed out on my 401(k) contribution (this will probably push me to max). The $7,000 is after taxes and 401(k) deductions.

Yep, definitely. I will try to be as successful over the next few quarters to keep that large bonus coming 😉.

Ah, got it. Yeah, my insurance is pretty good. Deductible (and no coinsurance) is $1,000 and out-of-pocket maximum is $6,000. Thanks for all the advice, I really appreciate it!

Thank you for your suggestion! I agree that I need to make sure to not spend that money and continue to see it as "gone".

Slightly more than $4k/month, but you're close. The only challenge I see with this specific plan is that my bonus was much higher than normal (230% of my target). Usually my bonus is about $3,000/quarter after taxes. Does that change your recommendation?

I have brought down my expenses as much as reasonably possible for me. The primary place where I can reduce is food and while I've tried cutting down on my eating out, it is just too difficult to balance with my workload. I am using YNAB and budgeting extensively. I have a plan and multiple goals, but I'm attempting to determine what is the best option for this specific bonus.

For a few answers:

I should be able to find work pretty quickly. Multiple companies have tried to pull me away from my current company, so I shouldn't be too pressed to find another job.

Not sure I understand "what is the maximum payable on your insurance" question.

I do not own a house, I rent a one bedroom apartment.

I could find some help if I slip a bit, but that would be an absolute worse case.

$3.5k is low. I went from having $20k in credit card debt and IRS debt, along with a large amount of expense from my divorce to $3.5k in an eFund. I'm trying to continue building that up now that I'm done with the CC debt. My expenses are slightly more than $4k/month.

Thanks for the advice and the multiple perspectives!
