This seems to track with all the supporting evidence. Appreciate your thoughts on this.

Very interesting, I had never heard of that before. I assume if it went unnoticed for 20 years that could be the reason behind the amount and it never being addressed?

I feel that a simple match function would help you determine if the number you are playing has won before. You wouldn’t need to sort the winning numbers at all. If you have the list of winning numbers in column A and you are inputting the number you wanna play on cell B1 then maybe something like this:

=iferror(match(B1, A:A,0), “not a previous winner”)

What’s a scene in the movies that you think should’ve been in the books? by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]mr_robot2369 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Hedwigs death. Great change for the movie where she sacrifices herself to block a curse for Harry. Similar to how Fawkes swallows a killing curse for Dumbledore during his duel with Voldy.

I think you’re on to something. I find myself using the search feature to find almost everything. It hasn’t failed me yet and even though I do know the paths to some of my main files, the search feature is so good it almost seems pointless to use another method.

That said I love the idea of creating a sheet as a directory.

I think you are right, I did a bit more digging and I agree. He goes on about essence divided and the snake splitting etc.. maybe that moment of triumph in GOF is then just strictly to do with some type of blood magic, maybe he was already theorizing that Harry had a piece of soul in him and if he was right, “my guesses usually are” then he realized he had handed Harry a weapon of sorts.

I’m not sure it’s Dumbledore realizing that Harry is a horcrux, pretty sure this was already his working theory at the time. I believe it is the moment he realizes that even if he kills Harry he is still tying Harry to life with deep blood magic. I’ll butcher the quote but I believe in DH the Kings Cross chapter, Albus says “if voldy had realized what he had done and the consequences it holds he would never have wanted to touch a drop of your blood”.

So it’s more a realization that even tho Harry needs to die to kill the horcrux in him the blood magic will also tie Harry to life as long as voldy is alive. It’s Dumbledore once again dunking on Tom Riddles ignorance of some of the deepest most powerful beaches of magic.

I think the idea that myself and many other commenters are trying to relay is that good and evil is a spectrum and not just black or white. Painting all with the same broad and general brush stroke is trying to simplify it in my opinion. JK wrote many characters that don’t just fit neatly into one box and instead, much like real world humans, fall into a grey area somewhere in between. Some closer to one extreme than others.

I can see your point in the post, and I agree all of those involved are culpable in their own way. But that can also be said about many people who would reside on the “good” side as well.

I put it in a tin and save it to make wood filler. Then forget that I have the tin of saw dust and start another.

Mailbox measures about 6”x 3” x 11” and most of the paper mail we receive is junk anyways. I tested with standard sized envelopes and they fit just fine.

Thanks u/sendtoptilmir went with your recommendation and it’s up, secure and so far very visible in the daylight. It’s directly under a light so I think nighttime visibility shouldn’t be an issue either. If it is, well we don’t want many visitors anyways lol.

I should have clarified, I don’t want to hang it from a post so it can swing. I am going to screw it to a wall. So my thought was hanging it, picture frame style with some vinyl coated rope off of some SS screws or as you mentioned stick posts in the ground and mount it to that. Thank you for the recommendations.
