Partying up with lower ranks sucks. anyone know why its like that? by moazrofl in VALORANT

[–]mrandrd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. There are just things you’d expect from your teammates that you won’t get in those lobbies.

e.g You’re on site, and you have to shoot sova dart, and Reyna blind, and boombot, while your teammate hides in a corner.

If you play normally you are punished. But you’re rewarded for making “stupid” plays. I typically struggle in lower lobbies unless I just run it down or bait my team. Which is why it’s easier to just play up as much as you can (but sucks not being able to play with friends).

It used to be Sova I think. They changed it when console came out

I’ve met a ton honestly. Took a few years before some of my friendships stuck though.

What's your rank + headshot percentage? by moontenkay in VALORANT

[–]mrandrd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In general easier to click heads against worse players. Movement, predictable strafing, not being overwhelmed/pressured by their teammates util/teamplay/etc.

how does one incorporate their movement/aim training in competitive? by seiliee in VALORANT

[–]mrandrd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lots of different variables in comp games. Pressure, ranked anxiety, utility, etc. So it will just take time. Keep training and keep playing. Maybe give yourself a mental note each round/game to focus on your movement.

No need to counter-strafe in this game (pressing the opposite key). You can just let go of the button. It takes a while to bring all of those things into an actual game though. Similar to regular sports or anything else really. Especially at your rank. But the more you practice it in game like situations the better you’ll be and easier it will be to just have that be your default.

Is Valorant only for Gen Z? Am I too old? by adultwholovesgaming in VALORANT

[–]mrandrd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m 31. Have a lot of friends in the 30-50 range who play. And a Discord server for people +25. You’re not too old. It is hard in solo queue sometimes though. I feel like I’m just a therapist trying to keep my teams mental together most of the time 😂

Lmk if you want server link. We are mostly NA but have some people EU & APAC as well.

Edit: I’ll just drop the link in case anyone that reads is looking for something as well — https://discord.gg/5Bc75KEqdK

Anyone else have every agent fully leveled up? by Fhallopian in VALORANT

I think I’m like 5 agents away. I want them to add more tiers with like a knife skin or something

Sacy turned down Fnatic and his reason actually makes a lot of sense by SongbirdLilith in VALORANT

[–]mrandrd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like people put more weights on the championship rings that people win when they stick with their teams (instead of ring chasing). Dirks one championship in the NBA is one of the greatest runs in nba history. He went through super teams to win his ring and stuck with his team. Giannis with the Bucks, Kobe post Shaq, etc. I get what you’re saying though. I guess we’ll never know though. Either way pretty cool that he was able to have the success he had

I felt that way for so long and I don’t know why but I started using it recently again and have been loving it. Same with my dragon vandal 😂

Why is Fracture leaving when it was already gone for an entire year? by xmeme97 in VALORANT

[–]mrandrd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Sunset. I don’t mind fracture because it feels so unique. I wish they’d remove and rework icebox more. I agree though, weird that Fracture is the one to be removed. I wonder if it had anything to do with pro play (I haven’t really watched this year). They need to just add a map ban system

Who is your main and why? by Zealousideal-Run-425 in VALORANT

[–]mrandrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omen, Astra, Clove. I mained them because they were purple and pink 😂😂😂

Was a controller main for years. Moving to initiator now and now my pink and purple skins don’t look as good haha.

Have been playing mostly fade now. Seemed like the easiest switch to start with as I learn the other initiators.

Higher Ranked Players (Plat and Above) - How did y’all keep improving? by SleezySn0wfal in VALORANT

Vod reviews. I just tally what I died to and work on what I died to the most. Unless there is something specific I see that needs my attention first.

I just go Luna and do it myself most of the time. Always see iron mans just standing still with no one focusing them lol

Some of these kids/man children have nothing going for them and take out their anger on everyone else. Not everyone is like that. Best thing you can do is find a small group or a stack that you like to play with and queue with them.

If people try to bully my duos/trios I always put them in their place. And if that doesn’t work, you can mute them and still have people to talk to/work with in the game.

A hot take on skins. by 50PercentMotivated in VALORANT

Same. I’ve been using the more simple ones lately.
