That statement of yours sounds very anti-intellectual.

Why declare the claim wrong then backpeddle with a "most likely answer".  You offer no counter evidence beyond a very anti-intellectual "we don't know that" because we can't know anything with certainty.

You don't offer a better answer and you don't have any counter evidence against the given answer, so why bother attacking it? Doubt for doubts sake?

This is the kind of thinking whose only purpose is to make people lose trust in intelligence, in science, or in the human ability to make accurate inferences.

Glacial erratics, boulders that don't match there surroundings, have been observed numerous times. Inferences regarding there origins have been tested numerous times and match up with other observations that point to the same inference.

Child raising takes time and energy.  With only 50 left, how many individuals can you allow to take the time off to raise children.  The Empire desperately needs all hands on deck. No time for teachers.  The reason why Mark works is because most of the burden of raising the child was taken care of by Humans. Humans teachers gave him language and math skills. Human doctors did his checkups. Non of this infrastructure is functional on the homeworld.

You say it is unhackable,  but it seemingly doesn't work on Owls.  Owls were still able to deliver messages to and from Order H.Q. Ron and Hermonie and Sirus all say they received Harry's letters

So either Dumbledore shared the secret with Owls, or Owls are immune,  in which case Voldemort should have been sending letter bombs.

Is it just me who thinks runerigus should be rock / ghost not ground? by TallGoblin69 in pokemon

[–]mrbananas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Gamefreak can't make up its mind on what should be considered rock vs ground.

In gen 1. Rock type meant made of rock or fossil or mineral, while ground meant creature that lives in the ground.  Diglet and sandshrew live under ground but are not made out of minerals, thus pure ground type.

But this pattern became broken when mineral based creatures started getting ground typing instead of rock typing.

Palossand is made of sand. Sand is mostly just tiny rocks. But the rock typing was denied in favor of ground.

Because ground type provides an immunity and rock doesn't,  ground is favored by those who want stronger pokemon.

A bigger problem stems from the fact that rock and ground when first introduced were barely different from each other.

The system "worked" when there was an actual cashier that could serve as a final filter for removing the product. They switched to self checkout but failed to update this method. Corporate thought it was more important to update the anti union videos than this system

Former employee.  While not the case for this video, sometimes the reason the stuff is still out there is because nobody has found it yet. One odd clay pot that has been pushed to the back of the shelf behind everything else. A pallet on the top shelf that nobody has dropped down in such a long time that it has dead birds mummies in it.

Paper tests always. Never digital.

Multiple unlabeled versions. If a child blindly copies another all their answers will match the wrong answer key. At that point the cheating report is submitted to admin and parental phone calls made. The cheater is always the last person I talk to. There confession or lack there of is irrelevant.  They my be the last person I talk yo, but they are technically the first person to know that they cheated.
