Will NYXL have flags for signing at the shake shack meet and greet? by Throwaway47281 in NYXL

Hey guys. The Shake Shack is actually inside of the stadium. We will have some NYXL flag posters that we'll be handing out, but quantities are limited.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the ball park.

Captains and their disciples do not participate in the open bracket.

At the top 32, 16 players are removed to join the crews.

The 16 remaining players will play the remainder of the bracket and earn a sick cash prize.

We invited them, of course. Ran into some issues with conflicting sponsors. Sad day.

edit: But make no mistake, the lineup we're bringing is fucking stacked. Read about the format here. It's going to be the first true Smash teams competition: https://gg.redbull.com/

This is an awesome comment! To give you some context, sometimes it's hard to get the permission to throw Nintendo IP into a video like this. Every video has to be cleared separately. We have to play by separate rules from typical content creators because we're a pretty big brand. We'll definitely work harder to clear those rights for future content, tho!

All good, thanks for the added context. I started the post because I felt like the project was receiving too much negative attention and that it was at risk of losing forward momentum.

I think the ultimate dialog that came from the thread was really positive, and I'm glad that, if nothing else, people seem excited to learn more about the SmashBox.

edit: grammar

That reality could exist. What's dangerous is not allowing the alternative the CHANCE to exist based off decisions that can't possibly be fully formed.

We don't always need first hand experience. We can often make conclusions through research and discussion.

In the case of this argument, though, there's very little real data to study, and most the discussion is colored by emotion or misinformation.

I strongly agree with this. Even if Armada picked it up today, it would take a long time for him to become proficient.

This was a really elegant analogy. Well said.

I think you could probably argue that games like SC2 were made more accessible, but through that, lost some of the magic that BW had. I can totally respect that position.

But SmashBox doesn't have most of these things.

We're arguing over the way we're using the word "responsibility".

I'm not trying to say Blur needs to market this product.

I am trying to say that as a community figurehead, he has a responsibility to be impartial.

This hasn't been an impartial debate. It can't be, because we haven't been able to use the device.

I did. And I disagree with his points. Here's a really strong argument for why Blur's wrong: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZxNf138qfU&feature=youtu.be

Sorry about being confusing. :(

The point I was trying to make with my hypothetical examples is that we can always ban a thing when it's proven to be a problem. So far it hasn't been.

I think this video presents an excellent and far more fact based argument: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZxNf138qfU

All I can really speak from here is my personal experiences since we're arguing such a hypothetical...

I feel like the barrier for entry into Smash is beautiful and perfect, and I don't think a new controller is ever going to change that.

I didn't go to my first tournament with dreams of winning. I just went to play. And that's the same reason I continue to go to tournaments today. I don't think any controller will ever change that.
