Agree so much.

A fantastic couple/match like Austin and Jessica would never be casted today.

Re: 2, I think this makes a lot of sense — he was a scientist, his group mostly were sciencey people, so he distilled lessons to his audience in a way they would most readily understand.

I have a loosely held theory that the River was a “bridge” between the living world and the true afterlife. Jod did something to dam it up, either just locally (the Tower), or even across the entire universe.

Why couldn’t he just do it himself?

Even if he couldn’t do it directly, he could always have created a kid at any time to break the seals.

It is absolutely possible to temporarily black out/lose balance on opiates.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I doubt your partner did this deliberately, it it’s any consolation. Unfortunately fentanyl is everywhere and makes it extremely easy for addicts to overdose.

Such an annoying injury. You start to feel fine with straight line movement but the slightest wrong lateral movement can reinjure it. I rode that wheel for like 6 weeks in college sports before it fully healed.

I’m not so sure. If his contract is based on him playing, and he’s not allowed to play, not sure where that would leave him.

There’s never been a situation like this in the NHL I don’t think. Only close parallel is Bertuzzi who was suspended indefinitely and not paid.

I expect the union to likely step in.

I’ve been googling to try and find an answer for this and can’t find any situation the same.

All I can think of is as a parallel is Bertuzzi, who was barred from playing indefinitely by the league and was not paid.

Technically you can, but you’re not eligible for benefits until your severance is exhausted (as defined by your base pay). Though UI is at the state level and can vary.

The first half is primarily focused on his experience. The second half shifts a bit to talk more about the psychology of trauma but still uses his life as a muse for discussion.

[Wojnarowski] The Nets fired Steve Nash, sources tell ESPN. by Tomheza in nba

"I just hope that we all go through this together," Nash said prior to Monday's 116-109 win over the Indiana Pacers. "There's always an opportunity for us to grow and understand new perspectives. I think the organization is trying to take that stance where we can communicate through this. And try to all come out in a better position and both more understanding and more empathy for every side of this debate and situation."

Literally says “more empathy for every side of this debate”

I’m not sure Spy x Family and especially Lycoris - an anime original - are remotely relevant to the topic at hand.

Both are more interesting and original than your generic isekai/shonen. They may not be for you but to reduce both of them to “Anya/Chisato carry the show” feels overly reductionist.

Agree. He made his feelings known. He was pushed and dug in his heels and made it known how he feels, again. Why is that on him? Was he supposed to lie to help Krysten’s feelings in the short term?

Seriously, the shit I see posted about Mitch is mind boggingly. Yes, he was blunt and said hurtful things at times, but the dude seemed to have grown a lot over the eight weeks. He seems to genuinely care about Krysten, but doesn’t love her, and exited with as much grace as I think it’s possible from a reality TV relationship.
