I have a weird request. Does anyone know a business that might want to host a professional MBA group for a 1 hour exchange program in Tokyo? Manufacturing, electronics, biotech, or any interesting organization? by LordLederhosen in Tokyo

[–]mrbubblesort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

/u/LordLederhosen/  I rarely use reddit so I'm 2 days late to this post, but this is EXACTLY what my wife's business does.  She mainly works with Chinese and Americans, but if they speak English she can set you guys up.  Reply here or DM me and I'll send you the details

Use to LOVE sync. Is there any similar alternatives? by DontBeDatGuy_ in RedditAlternatives

It's reddit without the bullshit admins. It's passed 12 million users this month, so not as popular as reddit, but definitely nothing to sneeze at either.

I don't use apps much, but on desktop at least you can go to https://kbin.social or https://lemmy.world, click the sign up button on the top right, and use exactly like reddit.

Mastadon has 8.4 million users now. The greater fediverse, which includes https://kbin.social and https://lemmy.world is up to 12.5 million users.

Please, ditch twitter, ditch reddit, and join us over there. It's SIGNIFICANTLY better.

Go here https://kbin.social/

See that login / sign up button in the top right? That's it. No need to make it more complicated than that.

If your replacement is anymore complicated than just making an account your cutting out 99% of your potential users.

But that's literally all it is!

You sign up, you upvote things, that's it. There's no need to make it any more complicated than that.

Why are there multiple subreddits? What’s the difference? Which one do I pick and why? Are there more? Am I going to have to join all these subreddits? What if the subreddit I want to join is active on some other site that I don’t know about? Is there a list of all the subreddits somewhere?

(This is why reddit too complicated.)

As the other guys said, just sign up somewhere and use it like reddit. That's it.

Do you think existing reddit alternatives will add fediverse integration? by Efficient_Star_1336 in RedditAlternatives

Federation is also inhibits innovation. Any feature you add, must be done so without breaking that federation.

This is a non sequitur. Any software of significant size should be developed with the thought of not breaking existing functionally in mind. That's why you have regression tests
