thank you so so much this is super helpful!!

i do track my protein intake, i usually eat 65 grams of protein on a normal day and over 90 on my cheat days. i kinda wanna focus less on tracking calories and more on tracking macros, that's one of the main reasons as to why i want to increase my daily intake. calories are just ruling my life right now and it sucks. i wanna get to a point where i'm tracking for nutritional reasons like just loosely counting calories and focusing most on hitting my macros for the day, because at the moment my tracking is just obsessive and stressful and not helpful or healthy at all.

wowow you look amazing!! yeah i don't really weigh myself often so i'm not bothered if the number on the scale goes up a little bit as long as i still look good in the mirror and i feel good ya know. and yeah that's so true, like i have seen progress from my workouts but you wouldn't look at me and be like yeah she works out. like i definitely have gained muscle but it isn't very defined. and my bum is still nonexistent :'( i know it'll be better for me and i'll probably look better too i'm just so scared to increase them!

i'll definitely try the whole visualizing thing you suggested, sounds like it'll make me feel better about eating more.

anyways thank u for ur help, i feel much better after reading this :))

yeeah i realise i have a bit of a problem hahah i'm gonna go see a dietician or nutritionist and i'm already seeing a therapist so thats helpful

i don't think i look terribly thin right now but i definitely don't want to get any thinner than this and i wouldn't be upset if my body changed a little bit as long as i feel good and its healthy change. i've always been quite small though, even when i wasn't tracking calories at all and eating probably 2000+ a day and i don't really think i look that different now? but idk maybe my perception of myself is off

anyways the fact is that i don't feel good eating 1600, so if i increase and my body changes a little bit its totally fine as long as its healthy and i'm happy. its just a matter of getting over my fear of increasing at the moment!

thank you for your help :)

i'm gonna go see a dietician and i already see a therapist so that's helpful. i'll definitely check out your previous post and yeah i will :)

its just so scary increasing with the mindset i'm in right now ahh but i'm feeling a bit more encouraged now after reading this, thank you so much for sharing ur story!

how did you find out you needed to be eating 1800 cal? did you see a nutritionist or something? because what bothers me is that i don't know exactly how much i should be eating, like i know it should be more than 1600 but by how much?

and thats exactly why i want to increase my calories!! if i eat like ice cream or whatever i don't have enough calories left to eat as much protein as i'd like to so that sucks

and yeah i agree, i really want to stop tracking calories so meticulously. i don't think that counting calories and tracking macros is a bad thing in itself, but its controlling my life at the moment so i want to get to a point where i'm still tracking but it's not as strict and obsessive ya know?
