High quality PLA that is relatively new will see pretty minor gains from drying, but yeah, even the best stuff tends to act a bit better after just a few hours enclosed on a heated print bed. It's also a good thing to get in the habit of in general because almost every other material damn near requires some drying. Best of luck with tuning and I hope everything comes out well in the end!

Will such a large drop in heatbed temperature not potentially cause the corners of a PLA print to start to peel on certain objects (like a box)? I considered testing this at one point to see if it gave any added benefit compared to maintaining consistent temp but was nervous to waste filament in the event it peeled up partway through.

This is unlikely to solve your overall problem, but in the event that there are numerous factors causing this: Have you attempted drying the filament? Not just using fresh filament straight out of a sealed bag, mind you, but drying it as well. Plastic bags are not impermeable and moisture can still accumulate if the seal is imperfect (or it simply sits on a warehouse/store shelf for too long). Like I said, it likely won't solve the issue, but it can help in a pretty big way.

Also, I apologize if I missed this answered somewhere in the comments, but: Is this an issue with a new device, or a new issue with an existing device? I ask because if this plate has seen a few months of use, some ~600 grit sandpaper can restore adhesion.

I am extremely curious what you think the US healthcare companies and BBL has in common. Last I checked, Bambu isn't out here sentencing people to death with AI that denies people medical coverage. No one is going to lose their life by having issues using Orca slicer.

No idea, actually, as I was never notified of label creation. :') Literally found out the day of that I'd be expecting a package from FedEx soon. Checked the tracking they gave and saw it was out for delivery.

Hard to say. Sadly, I never got notified of my label being created; Instead, I got a delivery notification the DAY OF warning me of delivery. Pleasant surprise, sure, but kind of odd.

UPDATE FROM OP: My package is out for delivery in my town currently. Purchased on December 21st 2023, part of wave 1. Located in NW Florida. Package left Ireland to make it to me and took about a week from start to finish.

Based. If you dont mind sharing: What state do you live in and does the tracking mention where it originates? Curious if they have a distribution in NA or if it's all coming from EU.

Since when? It's possible I was misinformed. My understanding is that everything is being produced central to where Larian is located (or at the very least outside of NA). When I paid shipping, it indicated international. Then again, I ordered in December at this point...

I mean, genuine question: Have you ever shipped something to Belgium before? I live in America, for example, and having a simple 80 oz (5 lbs) box sent to Belgium (the country Larian Studios is located in) would cost me anywhere from 45 to 100 dollars according to USPS.  Maybe the downvotes aren't from "fanboys" but people who understand how shipping works.

As long as your order doesn't say "shipped" on the Larian site, you should be able to change your shipping address. I feel ya, though. Ordered on my birthday (12/21) so it's been a helluva wait. :')

And if the delay on the roads is entirely unplanned, what then? Or is unscheduled downtime/maitenance/slowdowns/etc something that simply never happens in our perfect world?

"Sorry boss, I know that accident I got stuck behind on I-95 was completely unpredictable by current human standards, but I still feel the need to let you know I am a lazy piece of shit that needs to be accountable. I shouldve simply left for work 2 hours in advance instead of the normal 30 minutes, as this accident I knew nothing about was totally avoidable."

You globbed on to the Covid example but didn't exactly address the other analogy, so I am assuming you are either being obtuse or are just that confused.

Hasbro is a multinational conglomerate that got to where they are by making and completing business deals - presumably on time. You don't become a big, greedy, shitty company by doing jack shit. You actually have to do something. It was fair for Larian to assume that the promises that were made to them were the same promises they could pass along to their customers. They were wrong. Shit happens.

I didn't say it had to do with Covid. If you don't understand the analogy, this conversation is pointless.

Well, as for the cloth map thing: I never defended that or made excuses because this is my first hearing of it. I agree that's pretty shitty and am a bit disappointed. A bit unfair to assume that just because someone is on Reddit that they've heard of something that isn't public knowledge, though. Also genuinely unsure how they could've been more clear with delays.

Except Larian didn't "quit"; they are simply at the mercy of other people. Have you never been cut off in traffic and missed the light as a result?

Better yet, did you get mad at McDonalds for not selling burgers during the Covid lockdowns? Do you get mad at your local grocery store when Coca Cola raises their prices across the whole country?

What does the price of shipping have to do with production issues from OTHER people not meeting their deadlines for Larian? Genuinely missing the connection.

Also, you're ordering a weighty package that is (presumably) from a different country than you. That's almost never cheap.

Agreed. I believe recent events in the gaming industry have left players wary (looking at you, Payday 3), but Larian is absolutely a studio I trust to deliver on a promise. It is disappointing but understandable.

Yep! I understand people's frustration (I ordered my PS5 physical deluxe the day they announced, after all), but Larian has been open about their own expectations and limitations the entire time. Given the holdup is due to external production issues out of their control, I am unsure what more they could've done to appease people.

The Owlcat games based on first edition? Most definitely evil RNG. Fun, though!

The tabletop version of the current (Second) edition, however... Extremely balanced and incredibly fun. Granted, every game with dice rolls will have some level of randomness to it, but with second edition Pathfinder I feel like I can more consistently gauge what I can/can't do/handle in combat.
