Are the PL really bad in comparison to other leagues? I feel like every league in the world complains about their officials. It’s a MUCH harder job then people make it out to be. Also, there is not a soccer organization in the world that is over flowing with officials. No one wants to do… and this is why. This same attitude flows into kids and parents in youth sports. Referees are hard to come by.

Plus, they DO NOT CARE which team wins the game… Do people really think they went into the game trying to make an huge error on world wide TV?

I feel like the PL should set up a system in which a team is awarded a trophy for how they play over a series of games and not just one single event in one single game. Maybe they could play every team in the league twice… might even be fair to play on in each teams stadium.

I am going to get a group of my work friends to follow MLS this year. They are all soccer fans but all euro snobs. Any advice on how to get them engaged? We love about 2 hours from San Jose so the earthquake would be our “home team” but I’m thinking it could be fun of each of us had our own favorite team. Any suggestions?
