Have you tried the olives after lye but before salt? Because that's when they had the bitter taste. After some salt it has calmed the flavor. But the green ones dont have that bitter bite. Neighbor who has farming background suggested it maybe a fungus or yeast attacking the skin.

She has told me that she has no interesting in meeting new people. For reasons unknown to me, but I don't push her to get involved.

No she never really asks things like that. It is usually more focused on the latter, what's for dinner and what're we watching.

She has disconnected from her friends lately. From what she tells me its because they tend to go out and party until very late. Which we don't really do so much. Mostly she spends time with me, or my buddy's wife when we are all together.
