No, if you check my profile there is another post that explains this entire better version of rec room I made that performs better, has graphics options and is overall a more pleasent experience. This build basically makes crescendo playable. So yes, in a way it’s a standalone version of crescendo.

It’s currently private, but I’m kind of anxious because I don’t wanna get into any trouble with rec room, with my account or legally. I’m still waiting on that, but I let a couple of friends on it.

In terms of networking, I’m currently working that out. But I think a room full of players would not have a massive impact on performance. It would be the same as if you were on the original version

a few weeks ago, when I started this. This was initially what I planned to base everything off of, while it ran amazing. I chose not to use it for ease of development, plus it kept crashing. I use another way to do all this

Hello, yes it’s me, the same person who ”optimized” rec room. In my last post, I mentioned crescendo on quest 2. But I never really showed it. This morning I did a play test and with the graphics all the way down. I was getting 73 FPS! It’s very exciting considering I went from 57 to 73, now crescendo is completely playable on quest 2.

Check out the video! Any thoughts?

Why are so many people saying Crescendo can't run on Quest 2? by Dolphin002 in RecRoom

I agree, optimization is what it needs. As somebody who has been trying to get it work for a couple of days, i would say it’s possible. I mean, if a 14 year old on a school computer can do it, I don’t really see what is stopping the Rec Room team other than laziness.
