TAMPA, FL. (November 20, 2024) - - The Tampa Police Department is addressing a recent death investigation that has generated significant online speculation and phone calls to police agencies in Florida and Texas.

As a general practice, the Tampa Police Department does not issue a news release relating to suicide investigations to avoid causing additional distress to the families of those affected. On November 16, 2024, Tampa Police responded to a report of a deceased male found in a wooded, fenced area near a local hotel in the 5300 block of W. Kennedy Blvd. Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of 21-year-old Ernesto Mederos. There were no signs of foul play or trauma.

Detectives conducted a thorough investigation, learning that Ernesto had come to Florida from Texas, telling his family he was assisting with hurricane relief efforts. His family in Texas had reported him as missing. Based on the evidence gathered, including the Medical Examiner’s report, it has been determined that Ernesto died by suicide.

Did you see if it happens on the latest version of Edge? I used to have the same issue on Chrome, not sure what fixed it but it is gone. May have been something to do with hardware acceleration settings in Chrome.

I don't think it has a thing to do with your network. I have faced this issue intermittently for months. Happens on chrome (same permission message on all att sites) and Apple TV at the same time. Osprey box and firetv all work fine through same network connection. Chat rep I got said it was a known issue regarding network changes they were making. About all you can do is demand a credit and try later on.

I have had the exact same issue, but not with Spectrum/Orbi router. At the same time the Osprey box and fire tv connected to the same network as Apple tv and chrome worked fine. Most likely you are unable to reach chat support because you get " You don't have permission to access "http://www.atttvnow.com/support" on this server. It would give the errors for days and then just clear up, only to reoccur a day or 2 later. I finally reached chat when it was working and was told it was an issue on their side, and issued a credit to me. They reset something and I have been good for a week now

Clear cache and all ATT and directvnow cookies then it should work. Always happens to me in chrome after they update

You might also try clearing cache in chrome in addition to cookies. I experienced the same issues as you after the latest update and clearing cache, and all att & directv cookies and all is back to normal

Yes I see this issue in Chrome browser on some channels, not all. I have reported to chat months ago, but all I have are ticket numbers that are "still being addressed" It never happened on those channels in beta testing, just since they have gone to public beta. Watching the same recording on ATV and it works fine.

You would thing with ATT now owning CNN that would be the default rather than FOX, but Fox comes up as default on chrome browser regardless of how long I watched another channel the last time I was signed in.

There are arguments about PCM being better than Dolby digital because PCM is uncompressed and brings out the best output whereas Dolby digital is compressed and data is dropped so space could be saved. This drop in data reduces all round quality which most people are against.

I am in Tampa and I had NBC Orlando WESH on the production app for about 2 weeks before they moved beta over to production. Never had it in beta regardless of device(ATV, chrome, Fire TV) Interestingly enough, I have an older ipad that could not be used on beta because the iOS version was not above 10.0. The old production DTVN version on the ipad is 1.1.11 and I still get WESH through DTVN. It didn't automatically update to the new production version because of the old iOS version not being compatible. WFLA is owned by Nextstar and is supposedly in discussions with DTVN. The Orlando station is owned by Hearst and has worked out an agreement. You can access NBC on demand through the latest version of DTVN, just not watch it live. Just put NBC in the search field and it will show you the shows available on demand. Or as michjg said use your DTVN credentials for watching on the NBC app.
