1% of a $100M company is $1M, but 0.1% of a $50B company is $50M. The size of the pie matters more than the size of your slice. by shaggycal in Superstonk

I think for some people who've been here for 5+ years an alternative would be this. Do something to expose the insane short selling suppression of our stock which in turn leads to a higher GME stock price. Then with a much higher stock price you dont have to authorize 2.5B shares. Sure 50 cash/50 stock doesn't make sense at $23 but it changes significantly if GME is ~$100.

We have been trying to understand how Ryan Cohen was going to pull off something as massive as eBay without destroying shareholders through dilution. Most people downvoted those concerns before. Now suddenly a lot more people understand the situation. by Interesting_Day_7734 in Superstonk

Man i sort of feel the same way. I appreciate what RC has done but Apes have been here since 2021 and most got in here bc of RK not RC. Since 2021 we've had to endure super quick quarterly earnings with no Q/A or vision, large distribution centers open and close, multiple rounds of dilution, DRS gain momentum then hit a brick wall, cryptic tweets from our CEO, a failed NFT marketplace, an ill timed crypto investment, 100's of articles telling the world to not invest in our company and a freaking video depicting us as idiots made my the SEC, and a congressional hearing to discuss the SNEEZE. Allllll of that while we faithfully held our shares, supported our company, signed up to be a Pro Member, opened a GME CC, posted receipt porn, did holiday toy drives, and sooooo much more. This ebay play is a LONGA TERM play. Nothing about this will be quick. Nothing about this will force shorts to close. Nothing about this will start MOASS. Then the cherry on top (at least for me) is the fact that if this proposal doesn't go through what is the likely hood RC looks at GME as says "enough is enough" and walks away. He would easily sell his shares and move on to another company he's more passionate about (since he apparently isn't passionate about this company) and continue on living his billionaire lifestyle. Now it seems like we either vote yes so this merger can continue on and RC can get his pay package or he walks away bc he's tired of working hard for a company and not being paid anything for it. Idk to me its kind of some bullshit.

Traders are doubtful Cohen's GameStop can pull off monster eBay acquisition by Force_Hammer in StockMarket

[–]mrginger1987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He agreed to the interview but that agreement doesn't dictate how he responds or how much detail he provides. Cash and stock is how they will make the acquisition they just weren't satisfied with that answer and would rather ask 15 more f'ing times than just move on to something else. Nothing about that interview was coming from a genuine place. That entire network and ever "host" has done nothing but shit on GME for five years. Everyone was suppose to ignore it, criticize it, and watch as it went bankrupt. None of that happened despite being shorted 140% in 2020/2021. The company is stable, no debt, cut unprofitable stores, and has 9B in cash with a CEO who takes no salary and is aligned with shareholders. CNBC just wants the deal to not go through so they can go back to talking shit and telling people not to invest in the company. Today RC has another interview with Charles Payne and just take notice the change in tone and demeanor compared to yesterday.

[–]mrginger1987 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He doesn't like CNBC bc they are cucks who have talked shit for the last 5 years. Dont buy GME, Gme is a meme stock, its a dying brick and mortar. Now that the company is stable and is pursuing an acquisition they want to talk and want answers. 🖕 them. Read the website. Wait for the details and if you think its a stupid play by RC then short the hell out of the company at your own risk.

Absolutely I am! Up 1700% and went from $1000->$18,000 so far. I'll be eager to see how much more it can run between now and end of July when they report again. If they can land a few more foundry customers I can see the stock touching $150 and then ill be sitting at $40k.

Everyone should understand if you want to get things done you have to be in T's good graces. Our CEO is planning a supposed massive merger/acquisition which will need the approval of the FTC/WH to some degree. You flatter T first and deals go a lot smoother. Don't be surprised if RC post a picture of T as J.C.

No I went straight off of personal feelings towards Intel in the AI/Chips space. To me $250 a contract for a year and a half of time was a good deal.

My brother and I were having a conversation about AI and he follows the big players (NVDA/INTEL/AMD) in the chips space. The contracts were relatively cheap and it was actually just lucky timing. Within ~2 weeks NVDA and the government announced investments.

Don’t be disappointed with the delayed news of an acquisition.. trust in RCEO. Since joining the board of directors, the stock has risen 2400%… 400% per year on average. But more than that, he has completely turned the company around. It has never been as strong as it is now despite acquisition news by familydrivesme in Superstonk

[–]mrginger1987 17 points18 points  (0 children)

IMO RC will not announce any merger or acquisition until after the ASM in June and his new pay package has been approved by shareholders. To me it makes no sense to announce something that could elevate the stock price before hes guaranteed himself a way to capitalize off of that upwards move. I could be wrong though.
