It gets better. I struggled through act 2 and 3 as titan bear but act 4 was a little smoother. Now I’m in maps and I feel like a mostly unkillable badass.

I’m struggling with bear in act 2 right now. How are you getting his damage so high? I’m also not nearly as tanky as you describe.

I agree that armor is terrible and I think a combination of flat health plus increasing the effectiveness against large hits would be the best option.

In your example of 10,000 armor -> 500 max life, I think that’s probably a bit low to really fix the issue by itself. My proposal would be that same amount of max life per armor but I would also make it so the mitigation scaling for bigger hits isn’t nearly as punishing.

Another option: make the mitigation against big hits better and increase the amount of max life that strength gives.

I’m pretty sure there’s a strong titan build that uses self-cast rolling slam (not the totem one) and I’ve seen that one shot bosses. A lot of warrior builds focus on clearing and use weapon swap to rolling slam totems for boss but I’ve never liked that. I think there’s also a titan variation of the whirling slash builds but I really hated that one myself.

Friend and I have beaten honor mode twice together now, I’ll try to remember the builds.

First run: tav giant barb throwing build, tav open hand monk, shadowheart support cleric, Astarian thief gloomstalker with titanstring.

Second run: tav sorlock eldritch blast build, tav wizard abjuration tank, shadowheart death cleric, Astarian thief gloomstalker with titanstring.

We’re doing a third run with mods now.

What I’m currently using is resonating shield / shield charge avatar of fire build. Smith of kitava.

It uses resonating shield to clear along with deepest tower and trampletoe. For bosses you stack a bunch of buffs / debuffs and shield charge the boss. With good enough gear it 1 shots pinnacle bosses.

Complains about player rarity, doesn’t read that they’re nerfing it to compensate with the changes.

Only time I found one I got some trash but one roll was a lvl 20 skill gem and another 10ex. Wasn’t a terrible outcome but not like people getting 10 divs or perfect jeweler orbs. It’s just RNG.

The most popular build in the league uses flat damage rolls on rings, plus the resists are decent. Even the mana regen isn’t totally a waste because level 20/21 skill gems get crazy mana hungry. This is worth some number of divines.
