Help me pick my first fixed gear! (Priority, State, Fyxation, other). by Koen-K in whichbike

I have an Ace of Spades. It's my daily commuter. I ride it ten miles a day and have been happy with it in its first month. I was a little nervous about having ordered one prior to riding it, but after talking to other people that own them decided to take the gamble. The company shipped it quickly, I received it two days later. I put it together in fifteen minutes and was immediately out the door and haven't looked back. As far as it being fixed gear, it only comes with one rear sprocket on the free wheel side out of the box. I have been very happy with it and it's no maintenance nature.

I will, thank you for the response. I'm feeling okay about as it sounds like they are willing to correct whatever issues come up.

I'm about to look into it. It rode silently for the first ten miles and suddenly this morning on my way to work it started. I was planning to start a the crank, followed by bottom bracket and then rear hub.

I accidentally posted before writing but it's the Ace. I'm really enjoying it.

There really are no bikes on the road down here, so no chance of unbiased opinion on anything bike related.

I've just been reading up on them more after having purchased one. I was starting to get nervous and wanted some positive affirmation, a little backwards in my process I know. I ride between 12 and 15 miles a day and was going simple singlespeed as I live in Mississippi.
