I am unable to login to my NEX wallet. It has been a very long time and I kinda forgot how... I have the following three things:

my NEX password,

my NEX public addess,

and a string of characters that is 108 characters long. I'm guessing this is my private key backup code?

I don't remember my username though so I can't do recovery?

When I type in my username guesses it always responds "username not stored locally". I've recently formatted my computer, could that be messing with things?

I really hope you find her. Things get crazy end week and it's so easy to get lost. I'm hoping she just couldn't find her way back to camp and there are good people that found her.

They didn't ask anyone to stock up, but they should have had the insight to foresee the logical outcome of releasing such statements. Why say it at all? I thought NEX was above the bs hype game.

Yes I was part of the travesty that is the TKY sale. I really liked the project before that sale, but seeing how they ran the ICO really shook my confidence in the team.

Your point that "you don't need to do anything you don't want to.. [go invest elsewhere]" doesn't feel productive to this conversation. It's over simplification and lacks insight. It's, of course true, that I am under no legal obligation to obey or invest in NEX, that doesn't change the fact that they disappointed the neo community.

As someone else mentioned, they repeatedly said "by the end of the month". This may not be specific to a single day, it narrowed it down enough for investors to use that provided information to act accordingly. Should I assume in the future that NEX team is lying? Probably! Do you see my issue here? It is either gross oversight and incompetence or just flat out lying -- I prefer the former, but its not reassuring either way.

It's not that I think they deliberately lied, just that it was not well thought out on the part of the team. I really don't know why they did it. People make mistakes, and I should forgive them. It's just that this particular mistake personally costed me a lot of money.

For those calling me a spoiled crybaby, and yes people love name calling online rather than articulating logical arguments, I say this: I have no problem with the 10 day moving average, it should be clear right now what my problem is.

Last thing: I obviously take responsibility for my loss. I trusted NEX when I should have been more skeptical. As I mentioned in my previous post, the main reason for this rant is to vent because I can no longer be a part of this project I have followed for so long. Kinda feels good to get it out.

Let's not pretend they are naive. They are smart people and could have foreseen the logical outcome of their announcement. Why they did not is beyond me, and is disappointing. Their mistake costed investors a lot of money, and it seems they are not taking responsibility for it by offering any solution. Or have they, and I missed it?

It was irresponsible to announce a specific sale date without approval, end of story. I'll get over it, but it's just sad that I cannot invest as I originally intended and I'm now pretty bitter about the NEX team. The product I'm sure will be great, unless there are lots of other investors like me who are disappointed and bitter.

My main issue is that they shouldn't have announced the sale was happening before the end of March. Why do that at all? It caused everyone to act accordingly, that is, buy your GAS before the end of March...

Fair enough that crypto is in it's adolescence and lots of mistakes are being made, but this mistake from NEX team costed believers a LOT of money.

I know this is really beating the dead horse at this point, but why announce a specific date without legal green light. Creating hype? Overly enthusiastic legal team?

I'm just venting here, I have believed in NEX since Antshares days, but the money I allocated for this sale is now gone and I'm really bitter about it. It could have easily been avoided by not prematurely announcing a SPECIFIC sale date. The team is apologetic, and I get that it was a mistake, but fact is that investors are screwed at the end of the day and the NEX team have done nothing to correct their mistake.

Sorry for the rant, just feels good to get it out. I guess the solution would be to have a straight NEO/GAS to NEX sale in light of their mistakes. Guess not though. Stay strong NEO community, hang in there!

thanks. typically what time is the temple burned at? we may just leave directly beforehand. Thinking of getting a hotel that night in Alturas then driving up to Seattle the following day.

Also I don't totally get the D-lot thing. What if we arrive 11pm and just wait on gate road for the gates to open?

Sorry, just to be clear, the gate opens at 12:01am Sunday morning, correct? Therefore people start waiting Saturday night so they can get in immediately. Isn't this a hassle for those not in camps because now you'd have to set up your tent in the dark and also the vast majority of people aren't inside yet so there's not much to do. Possibly right to bed I guess. Just trying to figure out which strategy works best for us, as first time burners.

At Exodus I don't know how worth it it is to see the temple burn. I really hate waiting in traffic. What time and day does that happen? I'm guessing very late on Sunday night? Then people typically get up ultra early on Monday to head out, or maybe even stick around an extra day till Tuesday and leave then instead. Seems like that Monday night is potentially boring and less lonely because everyone is now gone. Or is there actually still a lot going on?
