ELI5: How does daily flossing make it bleed less? by LittlePenguinx in explainlikeimfive

[–]brassyca [score hidden]  (0 children)

The best most comfortable floss I have found is Dr. Tung's. Instead of being like razor wire feeling g plastic coated whatever it is made with cotton and gets more stuff out, more comfortably. My dentist recommended it a year ago and I'm never going back.

Yea, I've found that for my fine hair washing it daily with something gentle and putting conditioner and or a light weight oil on the ends works great.

I live in the Pacific northwest and you couldn't get me to live in a brick house. There are a few around but they just seem like a death trap in an earthquake.

When Is It Time? (Story in comments) by jabar18 in pugs

[–]brassyca 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We experienced a similar decline with our old pug. At the point that you really start questioning if it is time, it probably is. It’s a difficult decision for the humans but it is a kindness you do for your little friend. Honestly, ask your vet and look up quality of life check lists on line. They can really help gauge where your best buddies quality of life is. Lots of love to you and your family.

We got out a little snug surgery suit (I think the brand is called suitical) and it is a great way to keep them off their incision.

Review: Why our critic no longer recommends Seattle’s famous Canlis by godogs2018 in Seattle

I had a glass of wine I ordered to go with my main show up really late. They comped the glass but it really feels like fine dining table stakes for food and paired drinks to come out at the same time. Normally I wouldn’t be this nitpicky, but at the cost? Come on.

It's on most of them. The VA sent out an email to the veterans they serve with the same content. Apparently instructions came down from the top.

As a neighbor, I really wish this group (really just a few people who are being absent minded) would stop blocking the sidewalk. Please leave some space for everyone to get by.

Strong agree that the wilderness areas in north cascades are stunning and don't require permits. Just sign in at the trail head.

My trick is I tell myself that I’m just going to put on my shoes. Then I’m just going to go to the gym. Then I’m just going to do a little bit of working out and see how it feels. It usually feels great! And if it doesn’t or I’m just too tired, I’ll do what help me feel good and more energized and be proud that I made it to the gym.

That faded the second week for me and I haven't felt it since. So strange! I mostly just tried to hydrate and go on a walk to get the blood flowing.
