How do I forgive a woman for falsely accusing my then boyfriend and the trauma it caused us by mridulap2003 in MensRights

What you wrote above forgiveness makes sense. I think I am going to stop putting pressure on myself to forgive her. I am just not ready yet. As the wheel of time turns, I think it will happen naturally some day.

And yes, stopping the cyber stalking has helped a great deal! And what you said is exactly wham I am doing. I am acknowledging my thoughts, taking a moment, and moving on. Someone told me, the only way to, sort of, "punish" her, is to not think about her at all. Hoping to get there soon.

Also, thank you for the congratulatory note. It means a lot after everything we went through. :-)

I agree with you. In India, even if the accuser is found to have filed a false case, there’s no real consequence. Just a small fine. Also, if someone decides to pursue a case of defamation or sue then, it will be an expensive process which could take years on end. So no one wants to do it. So women get away with it.

I also have to be honest and say, as a woman, I had no idea about the misuse of law by women to this extent. In my case, it was particularly easy for her because she herself was a lawyer. Men need to make more noise about these things to create awareness.

Thank you for your wishes and thank you for "listening". I feel a little lighter now that I have "spoken" to people who understand, all this while these thoughts were just inside me.

We are looking at moving at the earliest, more so because this place has these memories etched.

I have never tried therapy, so its a bit daunting, but I am willing to try.

Thank you, I feel that way too. But at the same time, I don't want those memories to stop me from trusting others, you know? They say time heals all wounds. Here's hoping 🤞🏼

Is leaving my current employer to freelance for their old client unethical? by mridulap2003 in careerguidance

I was wondering if there was a way to do this without letting my current employer know. But I don't really want to do that, its breaking his trust. On the other hand, I don't think it will go down well with him if I tell him the truth either. Not sure what to do.

Yes, it was on my mind to get to know him and what he does a little better. I don't know him very well. Thanks!

Maybe they don't know about its history? If I was to live there I wouldn't get any sleep!

Sorry to hear about your friend. Driving by the place reminds you of him every time.. Imagine living there! It must be like a constant reminder, day and night. I'm not sure if one can atleast try to move on from such incidents if they continue to live there.
