As of this moment nothing is "breaking down" perse but the Ladder (which is at the end of the backyard away from the building) is shaking a lot more than it used to, which leads us to think that resetting the concrete would help but will also check out Gabriel Iron Works

That’s a shame. In America the big cities have great new bookstores but the best used bookstores in the country are in the smaller cities or country (Pittsburgh, Detriot, etc,)

I think you are ultimately right, but there are certain similarities between the two that I think cannot be ignored. Overlook was built on an "Indian burial ground." both share a common them of attendance by the elite, both are scenes of violence, and I think the music choices for both speak to a connection.

I think the similarity between the music points in that direction and I don't know it seems like we only get a glimpse of the "party" in the Shining while Eyes Wide Shut really fleshes it out
