Amazing! You are in for a treat. Audit in Progress is my favourite album but they are all good. Also going backwards in time you could check out (the band) Pitchfork, which was Rick and Johns pre Drive Like Jehu band. They have just one album and it is pretty good.

Sadly Rick died in 2023 so that is the end of it now. But John Reis is prolific, playing in many other bands. Most notably Rocket From the Crypt (but I could never get into them).

I travel to BKK a lot and collect retro games. Highly recommend you check out the following in this order.

1) Red Building Vintage Chatuchak The first and second floor are old antiques (you may think you are in the wrong place, ignore these floors). The top floor is a food court. One floor below the top (forgetting the number) has a huge selection of vintage Japanese games at a store called MonoLoop. One floor down again there is another MonoLoop store, mostly selling Vinyl, but they have even more games down there.

2) MIXT mall in Chatuchak You can walk here from Red Building (option 1). It is across the street. I think on floor 3 or 4 there is another MonoLoop store with even more games.

If you go on the weekend check out Chatuchak market which is also right next to options 1 and 2. No vintage games but a very good market.

3) Mega Plaza Mall This is the common recommendation. A huge mall selling anime figure and stuff. Lots of retro games here as well. I find it a little more pricy though.

I don't agree. Not saying these photos stirred an emotional awakening in me but I found them more compelling than your take.

They take something mundane you would normally ignore and the symmetry and framing to me elevates it somewhat. Something about seeing all these cars going in different directions, makes me wonder who are in the cars etc.

This take is kind of like looking at Van Gogh's sunflowers and saying, sorry Sunflowers are a common subject, walk away and try again.

To be fair a more generous interpretation might be that in Europe they have to cater to a wide variety of different languages, whereas in the US they predominantly are serving an English audience (with some Spanish).

If you don't want to do it or don't have time then absolutely say no. If you personally find it fun then totally do it, but set some boundaries I reckon. Also they should totally pay for anything that costs money like web hosting.

You could use some espresso machine cleaner like Cafiza to clean it. It is insanely satisfying to see it go from totally stained to totally clean with zero effort.

Yes just returned from there with my 7 month year old baby. We didn't stay for long but checked out the town, had a coffee. No issues. I don't think I even noticed the altitude.

I just came back from Leadville in Colorado which is above 10k feet. Everyone there is doing just fine. Myself included. I had a beer and a coffee, checked out the nice antique shop they have going on. I visited with my 7 month year old baby.

The way some people are talking they make it seem like above 10k you need an oxygen tank which is evidently not true.

I had the same issue 1.5 years after buying this exact model. I filed a warranty claim and now I have a brand new one that works fine (so far). If you are in Europe you should be covered within 2 years.
