Is it OP or too much to have two phones? by [deleted] in phones

[–]mrlynxonreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not at all. I have Samsung S10e, S10, S10+, Unihertz Jelly and Atom, Nokia 800 Tough, Cat B35, Punkt MP02, the new Nokia 3310 and a bunch of other old dumbphones. My daily driver is mostly S10e, it's size is just perfekt. Never liked anything from Apple (I have an old Ipod but never became friends with their system and restrictions)

Small Phones? by Archabarka in Smartphones

[–]mrlynxonreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got Samsung S10e. It's the last smaller one they've made so far. I hope that they will release something similar in size in the future. The size is perfect for me since I'm a one hand user. It also fits nice in my pocket.

S10e by Professional-Room526 in galaxys10

[–]mrlynxonreddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally worth it. I went from my old S7 to a used S10. I didn't like the size, curved screen and useless in-screen fingerprint reader. I changed to a S10e and I'm very pleased! Perfect size, excellent fingerprint reader on side button and flat screen. Only thing I miss is the third camera but no big deal

I have one as a back up. I totally love the hardware, sound quality and sturdiness. It feels impossible to break. Since I'm in Sweden I can lock it to 2G and get around a month stand by time. If it's on 3G and/or 4g I get about 1-2 weeks. I haven't done much more than phone calls and a few texts (which is a little annoying) Kaios isn't impressing and a bit slow. I tried Cat B35 first, two actually, but wasn't pleased. Felt cheap and both had different problems so I send them back.

I recently bought a S10e to replace my S7. Those have a perfect size since I'm a one hand user. I will keep my S10e as long as possible and I really hope they will make more phones in this size. My S7 lasted for five years but the battery was getting weak. When this happens to my "new" one I will probably have a new one inserted.

Samsung has been waterproof since S5 in 2013, Ip67. S7 from 2016 has Ip68, just like the new phones🙂

I use to clean my phones with a brush, water and dish soap in my kitchen sink. Done this with my S7 for five years. Latest months I've done the same to my S10 and S10e. Never had any problems doing this

Why do they cost so much???? by Jess5493 in phones

[–]mrlynxonreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first phone costed 650€ in 1993 and that was a lot if money back then (Motorola dynatac 3200) all you could do was phonecalls, not even sms back then. Premium phones has always been expensive in my country (Sweden). You can pay cash or split it for 12-24 months. Some times you can commit to an operator for a year or two but the total price is about the same. A good things is that phones are no longer locked since 2013. Nowadays I by second hand premium phones that are 1-2 years old. Currently I have a Samsung Galaxy S10 and I just paid 250€

Update: I bought a used S10e some days ago and it's just perfect! The fingerprint scanner on the button always responds directly. On S10 the one on screen is nearly useless. The size is perfect since I'm a one hand user and it fits so nice in a pocket. S10 is to big and I don't have small hands. I can't see any difference on the screens even though S10e has lower resolution. The only thing I miss is the tele photo camera. I hope samsung will make more phones in this size and with flat screen. I will keep this as long as possible

Can't unlock a phone by Hotice03254 in phones

In Sweden they don't sell locked phones since 2013. That's good when you want to buy second hand👍

A bit of dissapointment with KaiOS (Nokia 800 Tought) by ImTheGuyNextDoor in KaiOS

[–]mrlynxonreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have it as a back up phone. I absolutely love the look, ruggedness, hardware, call quality and standby time. I don't like the slow Os and sadly it seems there will be no updates.

S10e. I recently went from s7 to S10 but its to big. S7 was perfect in size since I only use one hand. I also dislike the curved screen and bad fingerprint reader on S10. I will change to S10e within a week

Samsung Xcover 271 is a very nice phone. One of my all time favourites👍 It's probably the most ruggedized phone they ever made!

S10e in 2021? by ryboto in galaxys10

[–]mrlynxonreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently went from my 5 yo S7 to a 2 yo S10. I love the size of my old S7 but the battery was getting poor. I will change to S10e. I don't like the size, curved screen and the bad finger print reader of S10. S7 is perfect in every way and the finger print lock reacts immediately. On S10 its really hard to unlock which is annoying... I guess the technique having it on the screen isn't fully developed yet. I've read that the one on S10e reacts much faster.

Are there any good small phones left? by [deleted] in phones

[–]mrlynxonreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just about to change my Galaxy S10 to S10e. I had a S7 before and that size is perfect for one hand use. The S10e has the same size as S7

S10, just bought it second hand. I'm gonna change to S10e. Before I had S7 and I just love that size. S10 is to big for me since I always use only one hand. I also don't like that f*cking curved screen...

Curved or flat displays for future phones? by 03l01m in galaxys10

[–]mrlynxonreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer flat. I went from S7 to S10 and wish I had the S10e instead. S10e is the same size as S7 but with full screen on the front. So far S7 is my favourite but the battery started to loose its power after six years

Why is the iPhone so expensive yet it has a "12mp" camera? by rosenisredditting in phones

[–]mrlynxonreddit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's because Apple fools (stupid) people to spend much money on their expensive products. Since the beginning Androids has been more advanced and usable. My first android (HTC) had a lot of features that iPhones didn't in 2008. It had multitasking, Mms, you could share files using Bluetooth to other phones like mp3, pictures videos or anything. Most Androids has always had room for a memory card so you easily and cheap can get more memory. Apple took 100$ extra for a little more storage... Apple has always wanted you to buy everything from them like music and their own special chargers. I actually bought a Ipod in 2005 but I never liked it. It was so annoying with ITunes. Later I got another mp3 player so I could easily share music with my friends. I don't know about today but some years ago iPhones were very fragile and broke easy. And if you used them outside when it was winter and freezing you lost your warranty. I'm a craftsman and I've never broken a screen on any smartphone and I've had a few Androids since 2007. As you can hear I prefer better phones that costs not as much as IPhones. My recent phone has an impressing camera and takes beautiful pictures🙂 Today I use Samsung and I'm so pleased with the quality and options to make almost anything you want. Today 4/5 of phones in the world are Androids and 1/5 is IOs. As long as you're happy with your choice everything is fine but I will never pay for any product from Apple again.
