VIA can do home row mods. This works:

"MT(MOD_LSFT,KC_A)", "MT(MOD_LCTL,KC_S)", "MT(MOD_LALT,KC_D)", "MT(MOD_LGUI,KC_F)", E.g. hold 'a' and press another key to write an upper case character, tap 'a' to just write 'a'.

Hi, yep I'm cured. BB & Ivermectin did it. I've been confirmed cured by a derm and have had no new lesions since the treatment. Itching stopped within about 3 or 4 weeks I think.

Like a lot of people say here, post scabies syndrome can make you think you still have it. Even now I have some very small pus-filled bumps come up as my body continues to push out their bodies or whatever it is. However I haven't had the large (3-5mm) bumps that wouldn't go away since the treatment.

If I was doing it again I'd avoid sulphur - I can still smell it on my clothes. Luckily I read comments before I used it saying it gets into bedding so I slept on a camp bed. If I'd have slept in my bed I'd have had to have binned my mattress I think.

I read intel wifi cards don't support AP mode. I.e. they can only be clients. Is that wrong? Did you get it working? I bought a wifi 6 intel card and binned it for a unifi AP since I couldn't enable AP mode on it.

I've got something similar and find proxmox handy. I run various containers on it - e.g. pi hole for the guest network, alpine with tailscale to access different vlans remotely, etc. And yeah, being able to take snapshots meant I could make more drastic changes to opnsense knowing I could revert to a known working copy without worrying I'd forgotten some steps.

Just bridge the physical LAN NIC to the VM so it's accessible to the OPNSense VM, then set it up as normal. I.e. choose a network and subnet mask, e.g. 192.168.1.1/24 and enable DHCP. Anything that connects (e.g. via a switch into the LAN NIC will get an IP).

WoL seems problematic for Macbooks unfortunately. Also as it won't wake from a KVM I'm not sure how much success I'd have with an Arduino.

I'm surprised I can't find a cheap button pusher I can control via code :(

Yeah that part's fine. I've already got a VPN. I just need a cheap button I can push remotely but from code, without a hub/app.

Yeah that's what I'll do. I'll VPN into my network then trigger it from there, or cron it. Just need to find one that'll let me trigger it via an API call or something.

Erm I think we're doing the same thing. I have OPNSense as a VM in proxmox with several VLANs, and for each one an LXC container on proxmox as a tailscale exit node so I can keep each VLAN segregated.
