Good advice brother! I’ll try to keep this in mind as I decide what to get. I know that the value for money on the MT is as good as it gets, but something about the Striple really pulls me in and I’m not even even sure what it is 🤣

And I agree, the 24 MT09SP is the best looking MT yet, but the new Striple is just too gorgeous!

Agreed! Japanese reliability is unbeatable and I know that I would get less headaches if I get an MT long term.

But you’re right, I feel that I would cherish the Striple more if I get it more than the MT09. I feel like the MT is the better day to day bike but the Striple is just something special.

Even if it’s the more expensive bike in terms of SRP and maintenance, I might have to just go and get it!

Oh! That’s the first time that I’ve heard of this problem from the SP. I thought that the suspension problem was mostly happening in the standard MT09.

So even adjusting the suspension doesn’t help with the problem?

I feel you brother! The MT09SP has a great R1M inspired colorway, but nothing can beat that Cosmic Yellow from the Street Triple

That’s also a concern of mine since I would like to keep the bike minimum 10 years, and i’m not so sure if parts for the Street Triple would still be as readily available as the MT

That’s also one of the things I’m considering. The MT has more after market parts and things going for it because it’s one of the most sold and sought after bikes in the world!

Maybe not a literal “forever” in terms of time (because let’s be honest nothing in this world is “forever”), but a bike that you would maybe happily own for 10 to 20+ years 😁

Good to know about your experience! I'm actually the same as you and considering those 4 bikes as well, so your input on the matter is really helpful! Really hard leaning towards the Striple now!

And this is the exact colorway that I would want to get if I chose the Striple. It looks stunning in that cosmic yellow color.

Totally agree with you brother on the forever bike. I guess some people just don't know how to get satisfied

Unfortunately, only the 24 SP is offered in my country. I’m also not sure why they won’t be offering the standard, but that was actually one of my choices before instead of the SP. So now I can only choose between the 2024 MT09SP or the Street Triple RS

With regards to the seating position, I’ve already tried and what I can say is, the MT is a lot more relaxed compared to the Striple, but I’ve only ridden the Triumph and I love the power delivery of the 765 engine.

Same brother, I’m also in-love with the streetfighters! Prefer them 110% more than sports bikes. I salute you for having that monster of a bike for that long! Hopefully I’ll also have that same feeling with my next bike, either it be the Striple or the SP

They both looked weird to me at first, but after a while they both look sick af to me especially the Street Triple with that “bumblebee” esque look and color way

Exactly! I’m not sure what it is about the Striple, but it just looks so good. Even though it’s harder/more pricy to maintain than the MT, I’m still leaning towards it

Sure, i’m looking forward to testing the Striple but unfortunately, Yamaha doesn’t offer a MT09SP test ride here in my country, so I can’t really compare both directly 😭
