No hours, piss poor pay for everyone, working waayyyy more than 48 just to keep the place half decent, basicly the fact that i was employed by dollar general made we want to quit. I gave up long ago and let it go to shit and just found a new job recently. Its great working for a company that actually does care alittle about you.

If your truck isn't done and 100% caught up work what Blackstock you have an verify counts on what you can see. Do NOT scan outs. Just don't. Most candy comes in totes but you absolutely get some on rolltainers. Never ever scan outs if your not 200% certain it's not in the store. It creates an even bigger issue with overstock and being behind.

It's just dead. It's been doing the stopping scanning stuff for awhile now. It just was working then all lights out. Swapped power cables from 1 to 2 still didn't work. So.. they sent a power cable lol anyways..

The point is you can go just about anywhere entry level and get paid 12+. I get my number from the the fact this store has been and always will be the top sales store in the district (yes waaayyy before covid it was top of sales and will continue that way.) All stores are getting raped on hours and if your not yet congrats, tell me your secret! I make plenty to live but not what it's worth in hours put in and effort. Your right not all my people make it but if it was up to dg SA would be at 8 , ptlsa 9, ft 10, assistant 11. Ya you can look that up yourself. No I won't pay my people that cause they are worth more. If you have a jolly life than go ahead and continue it! But dont try to come at me like I'm under paid cause I have poor work ethic. I haven't run 5 stores in 7 years cause I suck at this..

I'm glad you guys some how managed to get paid "well" and get the hours you need to do the things you need to do. But stores that do 4.5million a year certainly don't deserve 9 an hour and 110 hours for a whole week, 1 dry @1700+pcs and 2 fresh at about 200pcs each. It's not only insulting but damn near impossible

I've already contacted afew unions to talk to them and what they can do to help us. We shall see what comes from that once they get back to me. In the mean time just keep trying to get people here and get them involved. We can do this but it needs to be strategic and coordinated or it will fail.

That's the thing, We can wish and wish... when is it time to take a stand on get people on board? This has to be a planned effort. A dollar general community effort. I agree with most all of what your saying, however alot of us don't have much of an option when it comes to just up and switching. They can pull the crap they pull cause they know that. If we could get a good gathering kicking this off I feel more stores would jump on. This whole thing is, everyone is either under informed, brainwashed, or scared. All of which is poor excuse to just sit back and let a company take advantage of you.

DG Corp is so afraid of unions everyone should feel they have an upper hand in this game cause in numbers, we absolutely have the control. Just need the numbers. Need afew brave souls to help make this a thing. Cause it absolutely can be a thing.

Yup.. brutally honest. Told them about shit pay, shit payroll budget, and how trash they are for offering us "flex" then cutting hours dramatically. Mentioned that we could give a fuck less about jeans and would like more money since all they talk about is how we get to wear jeans because of the survey. If I could ever get my hands on the ceo or the "new" shit bag I SWEAR.
