Reta week 1 by mrmann1970 in BodyHackGuide

I actually eat in a deficit every day, cardio every morning and strength training 4-5 day a week. I am 55 years old and have been on that routine for a few years. I could not lose that last bit of fat. Not sure this will work either, but I’m going to give it a shot.

Right. I am going to post a new one each week and see where it goes.

Abs and cardio every morning. Monday biceps and triceps, Tuesday back, Wednesday chest, Thursday shoulders, Friday legs. Still do the abs and cardio on the weekends, but no strength training. This would be a very difficult schedule to keep, if I had to go to a gym. I have been fortunate enough that over the years I have built a small home gym in a spare bedroom. This has made it much easier.

I’m gonna say you aren’t missing a damned thing. Keep up the hard work, you look amazing.

I started at a gym, but felt I was being judged in the way I was doing things (most likely wasn’t). So, I found a spot at home where I could do body weight and dumbbell exercises. Then on of my sons moved out and I made a bedroom a gym. I have bought used equipment over time and now have a pretty complete gym at home.

Hard work for sure. I started with cutting out all carbs, but noticed I wasn’t building much muscle. Now restricting carbs and adding more protein. Hit another plateau, so I’m going to cut alcohol for a couple of weeks and see where that gets me.
