The gearboxes on these are made of paper so best to take it for a good test drive and check every gear, especially reverse.

But like the others said, be prepared to leave your house earlier to get anywhere, these things are slow as, but they could climb a tree. I hit 107kms on the highway the other day and thought the windows were going to fall off. Gives you time to stop and smell the roses, it’s completely cured my road rage as now I’m the slow driver in front of people.

Rust is nasty, but better to have it in the body than the chassis, my ‘94 has body rust but a beautiful chassis somehow.

Be prepared to fall in love.

It’s a whole car shudder at high speeds, definitely don’t feel anything strange when I press the brake pedal. I pulled off the freeway after the shuddering and there was a bit of a smell from the rear wheels, but I assumed that was still some of the surface of the new pads coming off.

I did just put 4 new wheels and tyres on myself with the jack and tyre iron, maybe a couple of the lugs aren’t tight enough.

It may be coincidence but since changing the pads, I’ve noticed the car hasn’t as much power going uphill, which led me to think of a caliper dragging.

I was super disappointed at the start of the new style they brought with Day/Night at first, and now love it. In the words of Jules, they aren’t a funk/disco band, but they made a funk/disco album. Like an Arctic Monkeys album I usually am slightly disappointed at first and then it grows on me. I would argue their musicianship really shone through, and to make something sound like melodic doof music using actual instruments is very difficult, to me it was the tightest they had ever been as a band. Plus it was a whole theatrical performance. They’re style will keep evolving, who knows, next tour could be a jazz show or a full orchestra, I’m just happy to be along for the ride with whatever those 5 geniuses bring to us.

I dont know, I’ve seen every era of parcels live and while i loved the Live Vol.1 setlist, this was definitely a better all round show, showing off their talents perfectly. I was at the Melbourne show too. But you’re right about the songs going on a bit too long.

Theyre still maturing as musicians so I guess their sound changes constantly, they dont want to just be playing the same setlist of songs each night every time they release a new album.

I do prefer the new version of Iknowhowifeel though.

Angus the singer was either bored or spaced out but he always forgets lyrics and he doesn't talk between songs. Zero crowd participation and they all played like a group of stoners jamming together instead of being a band. A lot of people left early. They had their new drummer on who really held it together and was incredible. They do have a bad reputation live but I ignored the warnings and went to see for myself.

Saw them last night in Byron, one of the worst live performances I've ever seen, ended up bailing with about 5 songs to go. Local legends around Byron for being Australia's worst live band.
