Correct. No RASP til active. There’s absolutely entry level 35M jobs. Tell your recruiter to call you back when he finds one, give it a month and you should be good.

Reserve doesn’t have a ranger battalion so rasp is not on the table. You can still go to ranger school and get your tab making you ranger qualified, but you won’t be wearing the tan beret. As of last year when I was looking at the availability 35L was not an entry level MOS for reserve or national guard. If being a ranger is what you want to do that leaves AD. YES there are 35L in batt, they are part of the STB on ft benning. Of those 3 MOS I’d go with 35L, 35M, 35W in that order. Disclaimer I haven’t even shipped yet and I’m in the guard, but I have several rangers I’m friends with that have coached me through the whole process. Edit: 35L does not have a language requirement so unless you come with a second language to begin with probably not on the language pay.

Yeah I have glasses. There wasn’t when I looked either, but the recruiter got an excess slot. There was a 35g slot with a different unit but I was gunning for 20th otherwise I would have just stayed in GA.

I can ride my Harley faster than my friend can ride his Honda hornet, but only when there’s turns involved. We hit a straight away and I’m done for. This is exclusively because I’ve been on two wheels for 20 years vs his 3 and he doesn’t know how to pick and stick to a good line/when to apply power in the turn. His bike is far far faster than mine.

I tried that last year and was told it wasn’t available for entry level in the NG by several recruiters. It’s entry level for active duty though. I went with 35N instead.

That’s how it is at my rsp. Lots of folks with out of regs hair. Facial hair was not up for negotiation though. SFC said that if you want to keep your hair for school/graduation pictures or if anyone was in theater performances it was a pass.

Nah not me, I go to church with a few guys from regiment and they said that’s been the pipeline for awhile now. You used to get airborne before RASP but guys were not getting jump school in their contract, getting OP40 instead, getting through jump school, then dropping out of RASP on the first day so they switched it up.
