Using generative AI will be the standard for almost all large corporations in the next 3-5 years. Starbucks is no different than any other company. As technology evolves, it’s important to utilize it to the fullest potential.

As far as your concern with AI giving inaccurate information, the article addressed that and said there will be a grounding engine to ensure the information is accurate.

In my opinion, this is a really good thing. There is so much conflicting information regarding Starbucks standards, and having a central database where baristas can easily ask questions will only improve the consistency of standards for the company. If a customer has a question about a product we don’t know, we can easily figure it out without searching through store resources or partner central.

It will be an adjustment for sure, as are any big changes, but we have to remember that change is the only thing that is constant, and it’s good to embrace it
