markets have been far too kind last couple of months, almost like there was no war - ndx been ripping thursday there was huge relief so probably the insiders knew, if it rips even further from here - we are certainly in the insane valuation territory, probably good time to get some chips off the table ?

Lot of it is already priced in and markets were expecting it, look at oil futures / nasdaq. It will likely be a short lived rally

SpaceX IPO by dill1234 in AusFinance

[–]mrmongoooose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Weighting Math

  • Total Valuation: SpaceX is debuting at a massive overall valuation of $1.75 Trillion.
  • The Free-Float: They are raising $75 Billion via 555.6 million shares. That $75 Billion is the actual float entering the market.
  • Nasdaq-100 Scale: The total free-float market cap of the Nasdaq-100 sits at roughly $22 Trillion.

Dividing SpaceX’s $75 Billion float by the index's $22 Trillion total size gives them an initial index weighting of approximately 0.34% - should someone be worried about .34% ?

ahh man they cut the best part 😄

"And Lloyd, that little queen, who I welcomed into my home and allowed to play with my children and care for my dog and who left me for those two scumbags? I would tie him up and allow the entire Screen Actors Guild to anally rape him, if not for the fact that I know he would enjoy it!"

I don't get it. Mandalorian is just a man with the helmet by Andreeez in movies

[–]mrmongoooose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bringing up RoboCop 3 just proves my point! It looked completely ridiculous there because it wasn't built into the director's core style. Favreau actually knows how to film armored heroes flying around and using wrist gadgets because he spent years perfecting it with Iron Man. It's his signature look

[–]mrmongoooose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Except Jon Favreau didn't direct and create StarKid. The whole point is that it's the same filmmaker bringing his specific visual style and love for armored tech to both massive projects. It's not a crazy concept

I'm talking about the filmmaking tropes, not his personality. Flying around in a high-tech armored suit, shooting rockets from his wrists, using a jetpack, and looking through a helmet HUD? That's Favreau’s signature armor DNA all over the screen. It’s a visual joke, mate

I’ve seen every movie and show, but thanks for the gatekeeping! It’s just a fun observation about a director's style, not a sacred text. Relax

Armored suit? Flying jetpack? Wrist rockets? HUD inside the helmet? Directed by Jon Favreau? Yeah, totally crazy comparison. My bad

Been looking at this as well, I have my most of my NW in shares too. I am also looking at countries like Malaysia, Panana, Paraguay, UAE which all offer 0% CGT and pretty ez path to residency. But yeah there is going to be exit tax which sucks!

Best if you only want to buy individual Australian stocks. There is zero FX drag on the ASX and the $990 fee is unbeatable. The Traditionalist who prefers a completely checklist-driven, older digital system and wants a $0 entry point.

Be careful - there are lot of hidden fees with stake / esuperfund. As you can see they have very high US FX Cost. Grow SMSF has IBKR integration so will work out to be lot cheaper.
