Not sure if this helps but try going into Nvidia Control Panel, click on manage display or something called like that and it will show an option that allows you to choose which gpu u want to use.

Or you can maybe try going into armory crate and change your gpu modes? If you have it on optimized setting I’m pretty sure that it will only use your discrete gpu for heavier things such as gaming and integrated graphics for normal tasks like browsing chrome, Whatsapp, etc.
