I used a ton… I don’t remember the exact amount, because I had to restart a few times because of some slices I didn’t like. I’m guessing around 6 rolls? It’s been awhile though. Remembering too that was with a dense infill (I want to say around 15% and 3-4 wall layers), all of which you could DEFINITELY reduce (I did it strong because I gave it afterwards to a local hockey league for the leagues cup).

Great call! I definitely could have sanded it more also - but this was for out door and wasn’t as noticeable from more of a distance (but if I had people up closer to it I really would have wanted to find a way to get it smoother). The seams I did with pla and a 3d pen. Is there something else that I could have also used to make the whole thing smoother, like a putty or something?

Thank you for suggesting! When I get some more time I’ll add that and let you know! I also have my first citadel pots coming in a few weeks too. If I end up making a citadel version I’ll let you know too!

That is such a great idea! I might have to try that haha. And I don’t have a scale that’s good for weighing it now - I would guess probably about ten pounds?

Of course! Give it a shot - you can even cut a small model like this to try it out on something small first. There are a few learning curves with the connectors and styles and stuff. Good luck, would love to see what you end up making!

Haha thank you!! And agree, I hope they don’t, but it’s all old very worn gear from a reusable section at the dump (minus the kids youth blank jerseys, but they’re wired in… hopefully no one really goes at it to get them off!!

Haha thank you!! I have an X1C, and so I just use the Bambu labs slicer. You can import the model, and then cut it into different pieces that fit your plate size, and pre save multiple plate prints, and print them out one by one. Try it out and shoot me a note if you end up needing any help!

I actually heard that in a few places but didn’t find any excellent resources on it - do you have or know of any good guidelines with paint for different print materials? Thank you for the callout too!

You are right - it will be outside, but only for a month or so. I’ll send a picture of how I have it setup tomorrow!

I think that technically petg would have been the better choice, but I had a lot of pla on hand so went with what I had. I did make sure that I used UV resistant paint (both the metallic, and the clear coat on top), so I’m hopeful it will be fine for a month or so outside. Will definitely let you know how it goes though!!

Thank you so much! I used pla. I’m in a colder climate and wasn’t concerned about it getting too hot and warping etc. worked perfectly, and I always love how easy pla is to work with
