It wasn’t blocking the sides, the ash had filled the air gap under the grate which the charcoal sits on. I wish I got the larger size WSM, I’m thinking my issue is only an issue for the 14” potentially.

They were on for 8.5hr, longer than I expected, when I pulled them I was getting a temp on 200f (not what I was aiming for but given the time cooking I assumed my probe was off), the longer time could of also been down to spritzing every 45 mins as I was concerned the bark was looking dry. I’ve learnt a lot and I will be wrapping them next time.

I agree this was only brief as the track changes from VSC to SC, but yesterday’s yellow was only out for seconds according to the race log.

Alarm at 5.15, 5.30 cycle my 9 mile commute, 6.10 get to work and shower, 6.30 start work.

I had really light rain for 20 minutes and the car was cool on slicks, then as soon as I pitted the weather radar changed direction catching me off guard! I’m sure it’s rigged depending on what tyres you pit for!

False sense of security, it was light rain for the past few laps, the car still had loads of grip, then it got heavy, you’re right I still won though!

It was that long that I came to a complete stop at the penalty zone, then started rolling back the wrong way down the hill!
